Beyond its scenic appeal, the campground is known for its vibrant community spirit, often hosting themed weekends and seasonal events like Glow-in-the-Dark Karaoke or the annual Stony Fork Music Festival. It is a place where "unplugging" doesn't mean a lack of activity, but rather a chance to reconnect with family, friends, and the spectacular landscapes of Tioga County.

Location and accessibility are among the top reasons Pennsylvanians choose Stony Fork Creek. Located at 658 Stony Fork Creek Road in Wellsboro, the campground is easily accessible via scenic routes like US-15 and PA-287. For those traveling with limited mobility, the campground features a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking lot, and restrooms. The terrain within the park includes paved roads that make navigating 40-foot motorhomes or travel trailers manageable, while the proximity to local landmarks like Leonard Harrison State Park and the Pine Creek Rail Trail makes it a strategic hub for regional exploration.

  • Clean and comfortable cabin rentals for those seeking a "home away from home" experience.

Furthermore, the campground’s location allows for a truly "best of both worlds" experience. For those who enjoy biking the Pine Creek Rail Trail or viewing the sunset from Colton Point State Park, Stony Fork Creek Campground offers a level of convenience and comfort that is hard to beat. What an ABOUSTLY Beautiful Campground!!! We are so thankful we decided to book. We were a bit hesitant due to reviews. We camped on 105F with our tent perfect location! We didn't have to cross over the creek everyone mentions about in there bad reviews. Pool was so nice!! They had a super cool mining station set up. There are many rules.. but they are common sense rules. They had Glow in the Dark Karaoke Night when we were there, we had a blast. They were giving all the kids many glow in the dark items for free. Extremely generous. I usually dont write reviews but since I was so hesitant in booking figured I would give my opinion. Plus its in a BEAUTIFUL Location!! Mountain views!! Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with our family.

Our camp site was well maintained. The fireworks in Galeton were really great, and so is biking the Pine creek rail trail. We can’t wait to return to Stony Fork!

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying there the last week of July. Unbelievable!!. We've been to a few campgrounds since we just started doing this and without a doubt, this was the cleanest quietest prettiest campground we have stayed at. We cannot wait to get back in the fall to see the leaves because the sites are nestled between two hills which will be absolutely beautiful, if we time it right. The staff and the owner are absolutely the best to deal with. Without a doubt, we will be back many times in the future. And also while you're there go to the steakhouse in wellsboro you will not be disappointed and do the covered wagon tour through the canyon but make sure you do the 4-Hour tour, well worth it

Sometimes spending a day in the wilderness isn't quite enough to truly capture the feeling of a special place. Sure, one can see some amazing views or go on an unforgettable hike. But to get the full experience, camping in the great outdoors transforms a regular old road trip into an epic experience.Located 9 miles southwest of Wellsboro, nestling in the scenic mountains near the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, some of us have returned to enjoy a couple of days at this campsite.Stony Fork Creek Campground is a solid choice for those looking to unwind soaking in the natural beauty of the area and has become the go-to place for the annual family reunion. This well-maintained camping area boasts cabins, a fishing lake, a trout stream, and proximity to the bike trail. With 225 sites for full hookup sites and tent sites, visitors have raved about clean facilities, including bathrooms and showers with great water pressure. Improved WiFi signals. The staff was friendly and patrolled the grounds periodically.Being situated in a little valley with ridges on each side, it makes for some beautiful scenery and photography. Each moment was an opportunity to create a lasting memory that is filled with love, laughter, and shared experiences.Nature abounds here, especially at night, with the sounds of crickets, which we can continue to recommend.
