Catamount Hill Cooperative, Inc Introduce
For individuals and families in the Merrimack County area seeking a stable and community-focused residential option, Catamount Hill Cooperative, Inc. stands as a notable example of modern manufactured housing in New Hampshire. Located in the town of Allenstown, this park operates as a Resident-Owned Community (ROC), a distinction that sets it apart from traditional investor-owned mobile home parks. In this cooperative model, the people who live in the neighborhood also own the land and the infrastructure through a non-profit corporation. This structure empowers residents with control over their lot rents and long-term security, ensuring that the community serves the interests of those who call it home.
The atmosphere at Catamount Hill Cooperative is one of a quiet, established neighborhood where New England's natural beauty meets affordable residential living. Many homes within the cooperative are nestled into wooded lots or feature well-maintained yards that reflect the pride of ownership common in resident-run communities. While the park is home to a variety of vintage and modern manufactured homes, the cooperative focus has allowed for ongoing infrastructure improvements and a democratic process for community management. For New Hampshire residents looking to escape the rising costs of traditional real estate while maintaining equity in their own structure, this community offers a practical and secure alternative.

What is worth choosing about Catamount Hill Cooperative is the unique sense of empowerment and stability that only a resident-owned community can provide. In the current New Hampshire housing market, where inventory is low and prices are rising, Catamount Hill offers an entry point into homeownership that includes the land beneath the home in the collective's stewardship. This protects residents from the predatory rent hikes often seen in privately owned parks and ensures that every dollar paid into the cooperative is reinvested back into the community’s infrastructure and services.
Additionally, the park’s location in Allenstown makes it a "worth choosing" destination for those who value the outdoors. Being just a stone's throw away from Bear Brook State Park means that a world of adventure—from fly fishing to mountain biking—is always accessible. Choosing Catamount Hill means choosing a lifestyle that balances financial smarts with New Hampshire’s rugged beauty. It is a neighborhood where you are not just a tenant, but a stakeholder in your own community, making it one of the most resilient and practical housing choices in the Suncook valley region.
