Colaluca Family Campground ) Introduce
Colaluca Family Campground, formerly known as Ginny B’s, is a premier outdoor destination located in the tranquil rural town of Foster, Rhode Island. For residents of the Rhode Island region, this campground represents a long-standing tradition of rustic New England camping, now refreshed under dedicated new ownership. Spanning over 100 acres of lush, wooded terrain, the facility provides a perfect blend of natural beauty and structured recreation. Whether you are looking to set up a tent under the stars or park your RV for a seasonal stay, Colaluca Family Campground offers an environment that feels like a home away from home, focusing on community, safety, and family-oriented fun.
The campground is set against the backdrop of the Moosup River and several natural freshwater ponds, creating a serene atmosphere that is ideal for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. The property is meticulously maintained, with a focus on preserving the "old-fashioned" camping experience while integrating modern comforts. Under the guidance of the Colaluca family, the park has seen significant improvements in its infrastructure and activity programming, ensuring that both long-term seasonal residents and transient weekend campers have a memorable stay. It is a place where neighbors become friends, and where the sound of children playing on the playground or splashing in the river defines the summer season.

The layout of the sites is thoughtfully planned, with many offering a mix of sun and shade to suit different preferences. What is worth choosing when considering Colaluca Family Campground is the exceptional balance between a quiet nature retreat and a vibrant social community. For families, the "kid-friendly" nature of the park is unparalleled; children have the freedom to explore the river, participate in organized crafts, and meet peers in a safe, enclosed environment. The new ownership has been widely praised for their responsiveness and their commitment to keeping the grounds spotless, which is particularly evident in the highly-rated bathroom and shower facilities. The strong water pressure and cleanliness of the amenities often exceed typical campground standards, providing a level of comfort that is much appreciated after a long day of hiking or fishing.
Furthermore, the campground offers a unique "meat raffle" and other adult-focused social events at the rec hall, making it a place where adults can socialize and enjoy a sense of camaraderie. The presence of a "forever" seasonal community adds a layer of stability and friendliness, as many long-term residents act as unofficial ambassadors for the park, welcoming newcomers with open arms. Whether you are catching bass in the pond or enjoying a sunset from your campsite, the value of choosing Colaluca lies in the memories you create. It remains a top choice for Rhode Islanders seeking a traditional, affordable, and high-quality camping experience in the heart of the Ocean State's rural landscape.

Our 2 night stay was nothing less than perfect !Driving into the campground , the land is very clean and beautiful! The place feels right at home ! Our family used to camp there when it was Ginny B’s and the new owners have done an amazing job with the campground. We had a tent site in the 150’s and the land was perfect! Sunny during the day and shade at night.Everyone was so friendly ! The he bathroom/showers were just about a 2 min walk from our campsite. Showers and bathrooms were spotless and clean! Nice hot, strong running water in shower! We went to the meat raffle held at the adult rec hall on Saturday night and it was a total hit! The campers are truly a great crowd and the regulars are so funny and welcoming! We also went fishing and caught some bass and pickerel ! (We obviously threw them back in the water)Very kid friendly and adult friendly. Highly recommended for a great time!
Noisy, tons of "forever" seasonal renters who live like this is their backyard dump. It's a shame because this area is next to a pretty nice golf course. Rental sites are not manicured, but the front office staff were extremely friendly.
We stayed a week, and will be coming back as much as possible! The community feeling and the people are amazing. This is where you want to bring your family, it's a family oriented campground. Tons of fun activities for kids and adults. It's beautiful with the Moosup river running through it, a fishing hole and beach. Highly recommend! Oh and the new owners are great people! We feel very safe and comfortable here with our little kids!!
DO NOT GO!This place is a party campground with drunks staying up till 2 or 3 am with loud music and yelling. There are no such things as quiet hours, so no one ever settles down.If you are a family with kids, they won't be safe, all these drunks who seem to all know each other all have golf carts that they drive around all day while drinking and continue to drive after drinking all night....My family has been camping all over New England for 15 years, and this is the first time I have ever decided not to go back to a campground.DO NOT GOIt's unsafe and a drunk party all day and all night.
Nice, quiet open field. We had 26 rigs and room for at least 6 more! Huge CG and loads of campers, but not much noise because they are spread out all over!!
