What is worth choosing about Colonial Woods Family Camping Resort is the seamless integration of professional management with a heartfelt, "mom-and-pop" service style. Pennsylvania campers often highlight the helpfulness of the maintenance and office staff, who are known to go above and beyond to assist with technical RV issues or campsite setups. The resort is worth choosing specifically for families who want a curated experience where children are safely entertained by organized events, allowing parents to relax in the shade of mature hardwoods. Furthermore, its location makes it an ideal basecamp for exploring the wider Bucks County area. After a quiet morning at the campground, guests can head out for tubing on the Delaware River, wine tasting at local Lehigh Valley vineyards, or a trip to the nearby Lake Nockamixon for boating and sailing. The combination of clean facilities, diverse recreational options, and a genuine sense of community makes it a standout choice for anyone looking to reconnect with nature without sacrificing the comforts of home.

Have been going here every April (3 consecutive weekends only) with 2 other families to kick start our camping season! Always a great experience. Beautiful well kept camp ground very clean friendly staff. Camped for a month in July. First time we have done an extended stay. Husband ended up not being g able to go so I was on my own...had some glitches and they were always helpful. I had several visitors and then, of course, some trouble with bathroom. Andrew came out AGAIN and emptied tanks and helped me figure out the issue and fixed it for me! It was a great learning experience for me and they were very kind patient and helpful. Im sure I drove them nuts😬. Big thank you to them as well for addressing an issue with a camper that came in next to me and was way over in my site. Thank you to Stephanie at the office for always answering my questions with a kind smile. I can't wait to book for next year already. Oh, pool and hot tub were awesome!!! Super clean!!

This is a very beautiful wooded campground. It has paved roads and each site has a lot of nice gravel keeping your Camper intense clean. There was not a lot for us to do in the small town. If you’d like to hike, it may be a good place to see waterfalls.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Experience at Colonial Woods Campground! Our family has stayed at Colonial Woods in Upper Black Eddy, PA multiple times, and every visit just keeps getting better. This time, we were in the “I” section and were pleasantly surprised by how spacious our campsite was — far larger than we expected, giving us plenty of room to spread out, relax, and enjoy the outdoors without feeling cramped. The cleanliness of the campground truly stands out. From the well-maintained sites to the spotless restrooms and common areas, it’s clear that the staff takes great pride in keeping everything in top shape. It’s something we really appreciate as returning guests. One of the highlights of our trip was the charity color run hosted by the campground — my family participated and had an absolute blast! It was such a fun and meaningful way to spend the day, and the community atmosphere made it even more memorable. The staff at Colonial Woods are always a pleasure to interact with. They’re super accommodating, attentive, and genuinely friendly — you feel like more than just a guest. Whether it’s helping with check-in or offering tips on local activities, they go out of their way to make sure your stay is smooth and enjoyable. All in all, Colonial Woods is one of those campgrounds that truly delivers a top-tier experience. Lovely and large RV sites under trees, dog friendly. The online booking makes off-hours or last minute trips easy, But I was charged a FULL EXTRA DAY because I arrived a few hours early, even though they say that they have a half-day early check-in rate online. That was Ridiculous and I'm not happy, we won't be returning for this reason. They still have cable available, I wanted to test everything out in the new camper.
