DuBois/Treasure Lake KOA Holiday Introduce

For residents of Pennsylvania looking to immerse themselves in the natural splendor of the "Pennsylvania Wilds," the DuBois / Treasure Lake KOA Holiday offers an unparalleled camping experience. Situated within the gated community of Treasure Lake, this campground serves as a serene sanctuary for those who appreciate the quiet rustle of leaves and the sight of local fauna, including the frequent deer that roam the grounds. It is designed to be a "home away from home" for local families and road-trippers alike, providing a professional level of service that elevates the traditional camping trip into a resort-style holiday. The atmosphere is one of relaxation and community, where the beauty of the Allegheny Mountains meets the convenience of modern amenities.

As a KOA Holiday destination, this site specifically caters to travelers looking for more than just a place to park. It offers a structured, high-quality environment that appeals to the diverse demographic of Pennsylvania's outdoor community. From the dedicated staff who are known for going above and beyond to the wide array of on-site activities, the campground maintains a friendly yet professional tone. Whether you are coming from the bustling streets of Pittsburgh or the quiet corners of Clearfield County, the transition into the lush greenery of the Treasure Lake area provides an immediate sense of peace and reconnection with nature.

The location of DuBois / Treasure Lake KOA Holiday is one of its most defining features. Tucked away at the top of a ridge within the semi-private Treasure Lake community, the campground feels secluded and private, yet it remains highly accessible from major travel routes. To reach the site, local users typically travel via I-80, taking exit 101 for PA-255 toward DuBois. From there, a short drive through the community's residential area—roughly five miles of scenic, winding roads—leads you deep into the wilderness. It is important for GPS users to utilize the specific address of 95 Coral Reef Road (or 50 Sandbank Rd as per local records) to ensure accurate navigation through the community gates.

Accessibility is a priority at this facility, ensuring that the joys of the Pennsylvania outdoors are available to everyone. The campground features wheelchair-accessible entrances, parking lots, and restrooms. The terrain is thoughtfully managed to allow for easy navigation for those with mobility concerns, reflecting a commitment to inclusive hospitality. Furthermore, its position within the larger Treasure Lake community grants guests access to local luxuries such as PGA-rated golf courses, white sand beaches, and dining establishments like Duffers’ Tavern, all without leaving the security of the gated area.

DuBois / Treasure Lake KOA Holiday provides a comprehensive range of onsite services designed to make your stay effortless. The focus is on providing high-end RV support and comfortable lodging alternatives for those who prefer not to use a tent. These services include:

  • Full-service RV camping with 30 and 50-amp electrical connections and water hookups.

What makes DuBois / Treasure Lake KOA Holiday worth choosing for your next Pennsylvania adventure is the unique combination of wild nature and resort-style security. Unlike more primitive state park campgrounds, this facility offers the protection of a gated community and the professional reliability of the KOA brand. The campsites are frequently cited by visitors as some of the largest they have encountered, offering ample space for even the most substantial "big rigs" up to 100 feet in length. This extra space ensures privacy and a sense of ownership over your temporary outdoor home.

The proximity to local landmarks like the Elk Country Visitor Center (just 45 minutes away) and the proximity to the town of DuBois for local shopping and dining makes it an ideal "base camp" for exploring north-central Pennsylvania. Whether you are looking to spend your days golfing on world-class greens, fishing in the pristine waters of Treasure Lake, or simply watching the deer from your patio, this campground offers a high-value, high-comfort experience. It is a place where the infrastructure is built to support the guest, allowing the stresses of daily life to melt away into the scenery of the Pennsylvania Wilds.

Ultimately, it is the balance of professional management and raw natural beauty that wins over local campers. Choosing this KOA means choosing a stay where the restrooms are clean, the staff is helpful, and the "fauna and flora" are always the stars of the show. For families looking for a safe, engaging, and scenic getaway within their own state, the DuBois / Treasure Lake KOA Holiday is a standout choice that promises a memorable return to the great outdoors.

Great spot, secluded at the top of the Ridge within the Treasure Lake community. I will say that our sewer neck was quite high and made it impossible to dump without lifting our sewer hose. Minor but annoying.

Wash rooms have no heat and cold concrete floors. No such thing as quiet time here. Party all night. Not one employee after 5pm. Would not recommend this KOA

It was fine, can't control the rain ( storms) but what can be controlled is teenage girls riding around in their golf cart blasting rap music!!( Over & over again) Disturbing, what I consider a peaceful setting.
