Have lived here for two years and definitely has nice lots but the lot rent is unacceptable. There are no amenities other than water which is in sad need of updating and trash and snow removal. The "club house" still can not be used. We have been here two years, and it is listed on the website as being a perk. Not. Location is pretty near perfect though.
Unbelievable how much the rent has gone up!! Mine went from 435 to 600 in a year and now they want to raise it more. The water problem has not been solved so you have extremely low water pressure. This has now become the MOST expensive mobile home park in our area. I have lived here since 2005 and loved it,not anymore. Most people here ,including me,are on a fixed income. It's insane that it now has become cheaper to by a home on its own land!!
As a resident of Eagle View since October 2019, my family and I have been very happy living here. The residents are very friendly and its a safe community to live. I understand the previous owner Don didn't always upgrade the community. When Legacy bought the community they had a lot of issues that needed to be addressed and I'm more problems than anticipated. As a suggestion it would be very helpful to the residents if we would receive a monthly newsletter in with our ground rent statement. I would like to know what Legacy's Long Term Goals are for the community. As residents we are not kept informed. The resident manager Megan gives us updates, but she isn't aware of everything. The work that has being going on with Egret Drive it would have been very helpful to understand why this work was happening. Are questions are usually only answered when residents are upset, then Megan gives us answers. A retaining wall was being built on Egret Drive, that would be another good example as to why its happening. Is there going to be a walking path to the Clubhouse? I'm very disappointed that Legacy can't keep residents informed nor is their a phone number as to contact Legacy. Why are all the new homes going into the development look the same. All these cookie cutter homes look awful. Variety of homes is more appealing. If the cookie cutters home stay, are there eventually going to be a model home for potential buyers. Is the ground rent going to raised every year, if so then how much do residents expect? It's not too much to ask of Legacy to communicate with residents.
On top of everything that is happening I was walking my dog at 3:15 today on the sidewalk and he fell into the holes that have been dug by the company putting up the retainer wall. Megan and the township have been notified, it is unsafe to live here. LEGACY HAS THE NERVE TO RAISE THE LOT RENT AFTER EVERYTHING THAT HAS HAPPENED IN THE PAST YEAR. LEGACY IS NOTHING BUT CROOKS AND LIARS AND THEY DON'T CARE YOU THEY HURT. LEGACY DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE 1 STAR. LEGACY CORPORATION DOESN'T EVEN HAVE THE COMMON COURTESY TO CALL AND SPEAK WITH THE RESIDENTS.It's been almost a year and the water issue is still not resolved. For the past year the residents have either had no water or very low water pressure. Legacy thinks bringing in truck loads of water will solve the problem, its not fixing the problem. Legacy decided to build a retainer wall in the middle of last fall and winter. Our roads are unsafe for driving and walking, they are so tore up its a hazard. Legacy doesn't seem to care and tired of it. The resident manager seems to be in the dark about everything. As a resident who pays ground rent that keeps getting increased every year, I DEMAND to know more about what's happening in the Community.
So new owners, legacy mhc. So far areas of weeds have not been touched. Been told by neighbors they receive nasty emails from management, farm house being redone had to be stopped because they didn't know the very basics of needing a permit. I did this for 15 years in Dover and never had these issues. Public areas have not been mowed in 3 weeks. Totally ridiculous. Thought with new ownwers things would improve, still have not seen it. When us lawn care was mowing (which wasnt often) we asked about a over grown area, they said they were told to just weed eat around it.Same company you have used since about 2 or 3 weeks of acquiring. They were here 8/11 and mowed by the roadways but not even behind the visitors parking, hillside etc... while I understand getting good help isn't easy, this should easily have been seen by mgmt. And addressed. I ran a mhc for 15 years, went to court hearings etc... and didn't have these issues, I would have mowed it myself.
