Edgewood Village Homes Introduce
Edgewood Village Homes is a dedicated mobile home park located in the heart of Rio Grande, New Jersey. This community is specifically designed as an over-55 residential area, catering to seniors and retirees who are looking for a manageable and quiet lifestyle in the southern reaches of the state. As a staple of the local housing landscape in Cape May County, this park offers a blend of vintage charm and modern manufactured housing. It serves as an important resource for local residents who wish to remain in the area while transitioning to a more relaxed, community-oriented living environment that prioritizes the needs of older adults.
The atmosphere at Edgewood Village Homes is characterized by its tranquil and neighborly spirit. Residents often describe the community as a place where people truly look out for one another, fostering a sense of security and belonging that is highly valued in senior living. The park features tree-lined streets that provide a natural canopy and a sense of established history, distinguishing it from newer, more sterile developments. While the community is comprised of various home styles—ranging from older, well-kept trailers to contemporary manufactured homes—the overall vibe remains consistent: peaceful, private, and authentically "Jersey Shore" in its laid-back approach.
Location and accessibility are two of the primary reasons why local residents choose Edgewood Village Homes. Situated at 2503 US-9 in Rio Grande, the park occupies a strategic position in the county. It is located almost exactly midway between Cape May Court House and the vibrant coastal destinations of Wildwood and Cape May. This means residents are never more than a short drive away from world-class beaches, historic Victorian architecture, and some of the best seafood dining in the United States. The park is also highly accessible for those with mobility considerations, featuring a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible parking lot, ensuring that all residents and their guests can navigate the main entry points with ease.
The convenience of the Rio Grande location cannot be overstated. From the perspective of a local user, living here means having immediate access to major shopping centers, pharmacies, and healthcare providers that line the Route 9 and Route 47 corridors. This eliminates the need for long-distance travel for daily necessities. Additionally, the proximity to the Garden State Parkway makes it simple for family members from Northern New Jersey or Philadelphia to visit. For those who enjoy nature, the nearby Cape May National Wildlife Refuge and various local parks offer plenty of opportunities for birdwatching and gentle outdoor strolls, all within a few minutes of the community gates.

What is worth choosing about Edgewood Village Homes is the balance it strikes between location and community. For many seniors in Cape May County, the ability to stay close to the shore without the overwhelming costs of beachfront real estate is a major advantage. Choosing this park means opting for a lifestyle where convenience is at your doorstep. You are minutes away from the grocery stores and retailers of Rio Grande, yet tucked away in a quiet enclave where the noise of the highway fades into the background. The community's commitment to being an over-55 space ensures that you are surrounded by peers who share a similar pace of life and a similar respect for their neighbors' privacy.
Another factor worth choosing is the honesty and dedication of the current management. While residents have noted that the road infrastructure is a work in progress, the fact that the owner attends to matters almost immediately when brought to his attention is a significant benefit. Its strengths lie in its resident-led culture, its accessible facilities, and its ideal location between the region's most popular coastal towns. Whether you are a lifelong resident of Cape May County or looking to relocate to the Jersey Shore for your retirement, this park offers a stable and friendly environment to call home. By focusing on community, accessibility, and personal management, Edgewood Village remains a notable option for manufactured home living in South Jersey.

Streets are badly taken care of!! holes all over the place. Owner will drive his truck around and use his feet to repair them….water is really bad the smell of rust and dirty BO, if you have any problems, owners will come over and argue with each other.
My wife and I live in this quiet over 55 community. The residents are friendly and look out for one another. The road infrastructure needs improvement but the owner of Edgewood Village, the younger Beech Fox, attends to matters almost immediately when brought to his attention with honesty and courtesy. The location is very convenient midway between Court House, Wildwood and Cape May. Young Beech takes pride in the tree lined streets dotted with old trailers and new manufactured homes.
I am new to this Community as of October '23, and All of the people I have met within it, they have been friendly and more than helpful. The owners have been the best in guiding us in the process of having our home installed in this park. We have been filled in on all the things they plan to do within the park. Things take alot of work and some time. I am watching it happen. Since we have became part of this Community the process of upgrading EVERYTHING has been amazing to see. They are very hardworking people, constantly bringing in new houses for sale, and really are doing alot of work on the property. The rent as far a we can see is more than inline with the rest of the area. We are allowed washers and dryers, so no worries there either! I am excited with the changes they are making ,and the ones to come. Looking forward to all things positive in our move into this Village. I would definitely come in and ask your questions..you may be surprised by the fact that this is a Family run business, that actually makes you feel like their Family!
Nice quiet little community. Streets are clearly marked. Roads have a few spots that could be patched or levelled. I asked a random man who appeared to live there for directions and he was very pleasant and helpful.
These senior pay 600 or more a month lot rent. The roads have so many pot holes you have a helmet on while driving. The elderly can't even take a walk because they going to fall and break their neck.I wonder if thier is a attorney that would like to work with these elderly people and help.
