When deciding where to stay in Central Pennsylvania, the Elizabethtown / Hershey KOA Holiday is worth choosing because it represents the gold standard of family camping. Unlike many other parks that might feel crowded or industrial, this KOA retains a genuine "woodsy" feel despite its proximity to major highways and cities. The "Holiday" designation means it is specifically geared toward the vacationing family, providing the amenities of a resort with the soul of a traditional campground. Real-world reviews emphasize that the cabins are "gems" and that the cleanliness of the facilities is unparalleled, often described by guests as "better than the pictures."
Furthermore, the park’s commitment to safety and community makes it a standout choice. With strict adherence to driver's license and plate checks upon arrival, families can feel secure while their children play. The inclusion of unique amenities like the gem and fossil mining station and private "paw pens" at select RV sites shows a level of attention to detail that is rare in the industry. Whether you are roasting marshmallows under the peaceful night air or taking the free summer shuttle to Hersheypark, you are participating in a tradition of excellence that has made this campground a favorite for generations of Pennsylvania residents. Choosing this site means choosing a worry-free, fun-filled, and beautifully maintained environment for your next outdoor escape.

I’ve been told this KOA is so good it would be unfair to judge other KOAs against it. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The amenities are all well kept and lovely. The pool is clean and comfortable. The store had everything we needed. Our cabin is a gem. I couldn’t be happier. It is better far better than the description or the pictures made it seem. Our 8 year old daughter is so happy with her bed, and so enamored with the adorable pigs in the art in our cabin. We had a nice easy trip to Hershey this evening and now we’re sitting here in the peaceful night air, roasting marshmallows by the fire. If other KOAs are 75 percent as wonderful as this, I’ll be thrilled that we’ve become members.
I can not say enough about this campsite. We stayed for 5 days. Our campsite was beautiful. We had 2 dogs with us and we used the dog pen that was at our site. The place was so clean and my grandkids had such a great time playing with everything they had. I would reccomend this campsite for anyone who wants to have a terrific time. I wish I could give it more stars. Beautiful and clean!!!!
An absolutely fantastic KOA. Everything about this place is fantastic. My greeting by Sabrina in the office made me feel right at home. The assistance finding and parking at my site was very much appreciated. The grounds are super clean and manicured. My site had a patio, rocking chairs, fire pit, gas grill and a round picnic table. Everything was clean and orderly.
Stayed in cabin 122.This was the ideal place to set up for a week. The internet worked great which was important since I work remote. The campground is incredible clean and there’s lots to do. The staff was great from check in to departure. If you’re looking for a campground in and around the Hershey area…this is the one! Also, check out Whisk. A local coffee shop just down the street from the park!
We typically try to stay away from traditional campgrounds and normally boondock or Harvest host. We were a bit nervous booking a site, but, wanted to be close to the Hershey RV show. We can’t express how happy we were with both the facility and the staff. The sites range from your normal campground sites to sites with private patios, gazebos and even private dog parks. The facility was very clean and well kept. We would definitely stay again!!
