The spirit of Forest Ridge is centered on inclusivity and family fun. Under management that takes immense pride in property improvements, the campground has evolved into a comprehensive resort-style facility while maintaining its rustic forest charm. With the Allegheny National Forest at its doorstep and Cook Forest State Park just minutes away, residents and visitors alike find Forest Ridge to be the perfect home base for exploring the hundreds of miles of trails, trout-stocked streams, and scenic overlooks that define this legendary part of Pennsylvania.

Given the high demand for cabins with private hot tubs and the popular July and August weekends, it is highly recommended to make reservations well in advance through their official website or by calling the office directly.

What is worth choosing at Forest Ridge is the undeniable combination of luxury and "wild" Pennsylvania. If you are a dog owner, choosing this campground is a must; the thoughtful addition of two dog parks and the "stick rack" shows a level of care for four-legged family members that is rare in the industry. For couples, the full-facility cabins with private porch hot tubs offer a romantic, secluded experience that rivals high-end resorts but at a competitive price point. The management's constant drive for improvement—such as the recently updated camp store and game room—means that every visit feels fresh and well-cared for.

Choosing Forest Ridge also means choosing proximity to the best of the PA Wilds. You are perfectly positioned to see the wild elk herds in Benezette, walk the sky-high Kinzua Bridge, or enjoy a classic movie at the nearby Moon-Lite Drive-In Theater. It is worth choosing for the sense of "family" that the owners, Monica and her team, extend to every guest. Whether you are a solo hiker seeking the peace of the woods or a family looking for a summer filled with swimming and Gaga ball, Forest Ridge Cabins and Campgrounds stands out as a top-tier choice in the Pennsylvania region. Would you like me to find the best local trout fishing spots near the campground or check the schedule for the next Marienville Bigfoot Festival?

The campground was very spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. If you are traveling with children, the playground contains many standard fare of equipment but the cool thing was the large chess and checkers set. There's a game room barn too. Dogs will like the offleash park. There's one park for small dogs and one for larger dogs. Loved the cute stick rack arranged large to small where the pups can grab a stick to their liking. We stayed in the Rocky Mountain cabin. The four of us (adults) were very comfortable in the well equipped cabin. The fireplace was nice feature to warm up inside the cabin and with the hot tub outside, a fire in the fire pit seemed unnecessary. I would recommend Forest Ridge cabins to anyone visiting the Allegheny National forest.

We had an amazing weekend getaway with my girlfriend and our pups! It was the perfect trip to include them — we’ve found it’s often tough to travel with dogs or leave them behind, so this was the best of both worlds.Monica and her staff at the campground took great care of us and were quick to answer any questions we had. Even with all the upgrades they’ve already made to make the place exceptional, Monica mentioned she’s still constantly working to improve the property — and it really shows. We couldn’t recommend this place more! We’ll definitely be returning many times, and I’m confident we’ll have a blast every single visit.

We recently stayed in the Allegheny Cabin for a few days with our two dogs. This was our best 'camping' experience. The cabin was amply stocked, the bed comfy, and our dogs loved the enclosed dog park. The gas stove kept the cabin warm and toasty, especially after using the hot tub. Thanks, Monica and Paul, for a great trip. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I have stayed at the Rocky Mountain and Allegheny cabins several times and tried tent camping once. We love the Rocky Mt cabin! Just the right size for the two of us and our dog. I’m so happy that the dog park was added too! The cabin is always clean and the hot tub is awesome. We look forward to returning in the future.

This was our first stay at this campground. We stayed in November so it was definitely chilly so we didn't get the full experience, but it was still a very clean & fun campground to stay at. We will definitely return in the warmer months! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Probably the most friendly owners I have ever met in our camping experiences.
