Choosing a manufactured home community like Gansett is a decision that involves weighing several important factors. One of the strongest arguments for choosing this community is the cost-effectiveness. In today’s economic climate, where apartment rents in Rhode Island are reaching historic highs, the ability to own your own four walls while paying a predictable lot rent can be a major financial relief. For many, it represents the only feasible way to achieve the dream of homeownership in a desirable neighborhood like Rumford.

Furthermore, the location in Rumford is highly sought after. Rumford is known for its historic charm and suburban feel while still being part of the larger East Providence community. By choosing Gansett, residents gain access to the reputable East Providence school system and local municipal services without the high property tax burden associated with traditional real estate. The community’s pet-friendly stance is another major "pro" for many, as finding high-quality, affordable housing that accepts dogs can be a challenge in the Rhode Island rental market.

Potential residents should always perform due diligence, as with any housing decision. Many current residents appreciate the "quaint charm" and the quiet nature of the park. While some homes in the community show their age, they often offer a level of character and customization that modern apartment complexes lack. The transition from private ownership to a larger management company has brought modern conveniences like online payments, though residents often advise newcomers to be proactive in their communication with the office to ensure their needs are met. Ultimately, for those seeking a peaceful, pet-friendly, and budget-conscious living arrangement in a prime Rhode Island location, Gansett Manufactured Home Community is a destination worth a closer look.

If I could post with no stars I would post with no stars. I would recommend anyone interested in moving into this location to speak with the tenants that live here than ones that are willing to talk to you to discuss what it's like living here. This place is going downhill it used to be privately owned and now it's owned by a public business and there's no communication between management and the people who rent here. Remember you purchased the mobile home so you have a mortgage and you have rent and you have a water bill and you have trash removal fees. Granted it's still cheaper than living in your own home and it's cheaper than having an apartment especially with the times we're in right now where things are so expensive. Although I do believe that living here has gotten out of control it used to be an affordable living. It was a option for people on low income or people on Social Security, but even for those folks now, it's difficult for them to continue paying all these high fees. If you do decide to buy a mobile home here please make sure you check with the tenants that live here. If there is anyone willing to speak with you please let them tell you their side of the story. Management and the renters that live here have no communication between them. The only time there is communication is when there's something wrong with your yard or something that's not right that they want you to fix, then they'll be communication, otherwise if you have issues don't expect answers because I never got any answers I sent an email and called in twice about a specific issue that they never did anything about it and never even got back to me on the issue. Unfortunately, my issue is I can't afford to live anywhere else so I'm stuck here, but it was a very bad mistake that we made almost 20 years ago purchasing this mobile home thankfully our mortgage is paid off because we could not afford to live here with the rent going up as fast as it is and also all the fees increasing which seems like every 6 months. I could be wrong on that but it is going up at least once a year! All I can say is buyer beware!
