It was very quiet. We had full hookup and had a usable wifi signal. We went to the Burgers, Brews and Views up at the Lookout, just up the hill from us. Only on Tuesdays, but might be the end of the season now with it getting dark by 7:30 or so.
Greek Peak campground was perfect from start to finish:1) The reservation process was easy and comprehensive.2) Questions at check-in were answered quickly and delightfully by Kelsey.3) Extra help was provided by a neighbor (Rob the electrician).4) Bathrooms and showers were clean and new; site was level and utilities worked well.5) Special request was granted by Katy.6) No extra frills, but a good value for a simple stay.
Nice spot, camp had great wifi, spotless bathrooms, delicious tap water, fun things to do on site. Nearby hotel (walking distance) has fantastic restaurant.
Really lovely campground with top notch hook ups and gorgeous mountain views. Quiet, peaceful, tucked away.
Let’s start with some context so if you’re reading this you know how relevant this might be to you:We’re full-time RVers, with two dogs and a child. We’ve been to 36 different states and have been on the road for almost two years now. We mostly use our campsite for electricity, sleeping, and a comfortable place for our dogs to relax while we’re out at parks, hikes, etc. We’re only 3 days into our planned stay and we’re already beyond underwhelmed. Mind you, it’s just two days before 4th of July, an incredibly busy holiday for most venues and campgrounds. There is no office or check-in process. Which is nice because it’s a frictionless entrance, but poor because you don’t have a dedicated point of contact for campground questions. The entire middle row of sites is about 50-70 feet long, but instead of making them pull throughs, they have inexplicable made them back-ins despite clear openings on both ends. There are ZERO discounts for campers to use at their adjacent water park and adventure center. Not even a minimal 5% discount on a day pass for the water park. What a huge missed opportunity for revenue, as well as an even bigger missed opportunity to show some level of appreciation for campers. There’s ONE washer and ONE dryer for a campground of over 20 sites, and it’s closed at night. You do the math on how that’s supposed to work when the park is semi-full and full of sweaty humans. On top of it all, we had to clean the dryer ourselves so we didn’t have to re-wash our clean clothes. It was filthy.Want to get a hold of someone to ask a question? Good luck! Typical response time has ranged from just short of 2 hours to 4 or more hours. Only option seems to be a phone number that goes to voicemail, or to email a member of the staff - which in fairness to them, im sure they have other things to do.The one free thing you can do as a camper at the campground is use the “beach” at Hope Lake. I’d love to say that it’s lovely and makes staying here worthwhile, but it’s closed… on July 2nd.The sites are very large and give enough space between you and your neighbor - that’s the big positive so far. Privacy and space with an open view of the sky for anyone traveling with a starlink. Typically 2-4 bars of service for Verizon, but it can vary.Grass is mostly wild flowers/weeds, which seem to grow about 2 inches a day. If you have high hopes to sit out in a lawn chair with your feet in the grass, maybe wear some shoes and socks. The flowery grass is pretty and gives insects plenty of places to pollinate, but it’s not what you’re looking for if you enjoy sitting barefoot in the grass or enjoying a fireIf you’re booking this campground through Campspot or another OTA, they list a wide range of amenities - just know that they are all extra charges and there are no week passes to help defray your costs if you’re staying here for an extended period of time.Oh also, don’t use the Get Directions link that you get sent via email. It will take you to a random house about 15 minutes away from the campground, along the way you encounter 7 different inclines and declines of over 10% grades. Luckily they’re relatively short. Will update this review if anything changes. Perhaps our standards or expectations are too high, or maybe we’ve just caught the team in a week of transition - but not a place I would recommend to anyone needing anything other than a safe overnight stay.EDIT: Now that our stay is complete, I can say that while the campground itself leaves a LOT to be desired, the folks that work at the adventure center are wonderfully patient and helpful.Great night sky, our last night was full of shooting stars. However, on the flip side - a bobcat got into the campground and harassed the RV and Tent campers across from us a bit after midnight.
