The campground is set on over 100 acres of lush landscape, offering a variety of camping environments to suit different preferences. This diversity makes it an excellent choice for both social campers who enjoy a community feel and those who prefer a more remote, quiet experience. The management’s attention to detail is evident throughout the grounds, from the well-kept sites to the consistently praised cleanliness of the facilities, ensuring that your stay is as comfortable as it is scenic.

Location is a significant draw for Hartwick Highlands Campground. Situated at 131 Burke Hill Rd in Milford, NY, it is strategically located less than five miles south of the legendary village of Cooperstown. Accessibility is handled with care; the park features a wheelchair-accessible entrance, accessible parking lots, and accessible restroom facilities to ensure all guests can enjoy the property. The services offered at Hartwick Highlands are comprehensive, designed to accommodate everything from primitive tenting to large, modern RV rigs. The campground is particularly well-known for its "Big Rig" friendly layout, with pull-through sites that can accommodate large vehicles with ease. For those who prefer a more structured stay, the park offers several types of log cabins, ranging from basic one-room units to deluxe cabins equipped with private bathrooms and kitchenettes. Hartwick Highlands Campground is worth choosing because it masterfully bridges the gap between a rustic outdoor experience and the high standards of a professional hospitality venue. Many visitors highlight the "family-first" atmosphere created by the owners, who are frequently seen on the grounds ensuring that every guest is satisfied. The security provided by the entrance gate and the quiet hours enforcement makes it a safe and relaxing choice for families with young children. Unlike more commercialized or crowded parks, Hartwick Highlands retains a personal touch that makes you feel like a guest rather than just a customer.

The proximity to Cooperstown Dreams Park is an undeniable advantage for baseball families, allowing for quick trips back to the camper between games for a homemade meal or a nap. However, even if you have no connection to the ball fields, the park is worth selecting for its natural beauty and peaceful "100-acre woods" feel. The commitment to cleanliness—specifically in the bathhouses and cabins—is often cited as the best in the area. When you choose Hartwick Highlands, you are choosing a well-maintained, welcoming, and quiet retreat that represents the very best of upstate New York’s camping culture.

We wre visiting Cooperstowns in our RV- very conveniently located to Cooperstown, fair prices. The bathrooms were clean. It was mid week in late September so the campground was quiet.

Nice little campground hidden away from everything, was very quiet and remote. Not far away from town or the fields at all. We stayed in one of the the apartments, which is a house broken up into 3 separate apartments. There was plenty there to make you feel right at home. Only downside was the A/C upstairs, our first night it wasn't working too well. I had to actually pull the face cover off and clean the filter and coils because it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. After that it was working quite well. Although if it's hot out, the window unit can't keep up, but eventually it'll cool off at night. Friendly and helpful staff. Will probably stay again if ever back in town.

Been to Hartwick 4 times in 2 years. Would not consider any other camp ground. Sites are large and mostly level. Within 5 minutes to Cooperstown Dreams Park. Staff is very kind and appreciative of business. It’s all perfect for us.

We stayed for 6 nights during the July 4 week for some baseball. Our kids didn’t play at Dream Park, but If you are going for Dreampark, it’s about 5 minutes away. The location is great and very easy to get in. The grounds were very clean, communication was great with the campground, the bathrooms were very clean. We stayed in a wooded site and it was nice. Dog park was great and the wiffle ball field got its fair share of use. The sites were clean, a little buggy (to be expected). There were some trees and branches that could be removed but overall, we had a great experience staying at this campground. 10 minutes to the Hall of Fame, grocery stores close, shopping close. I would absolutely stay again.
