Red Creek Hideaway Introduce
Red Creek Hideaway is a premier glamping destination located in the heart of the Susquehanna Valley in Cooperstown, New York. Far from the traditional crowded campground experience, this site offers a secluded "hideaway" designed for those who want to immerse themselves in nature without sacrificing the comforts of modern living. Spanning 11 acres of lush, private land, the property is a sanctuary for travelers who appreciate the serenity of a wooded landscape and the gentle sounds of a flowing creek. It serves as a sophisticated alternative to local hotels, offering a "cabin in the woods" feel through high-end safari-style tents.
The resort is specifically tailored for guests who are visiting the Cooperstown area for its world-renowned attractions, such as the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, but who prefer to return to a quiet, natural setting at the end of the day. The atmosphere is defined by its privacy and its connection to the Red Creek, which meanders through the property. It is a place where you can wake up to the sight of white-tailed deer and spend your afternoons exploring shallow waters or simply relaxing on a private deck. For New Yorkers looking for a local escape, it provides a high-quality, boutique outdoor experience that balances adventure with tranquility.
Location and accessibility are standout features of Red Creek Hideaway. Situated at 267 Pink St, Cooperstown, NY 13326, the campground is just 2.5 miles from the center of downtown Cooperstown and the shores of Lake Otsego. This proximity allows guests to easily access the town’s famous restaurants, breweries, and museums within a five-minute drive. While the setting feels remarkably remote, it is conveniently located for those attending tournaments at Cooperstown Dreams Park. The property features on-site parking, and the access roads have been improved to accommodate SUVs and trucks, allowing guests to drive directly to their secluded campsites. For those with smaller vehicles, designated parking areas are provided nearby to ensure ease of arrival.
Red Creek Hideaway is renowned for its comprehensive suite of glamping services that elevate the standard camping trip into a luxury stay. The services offered are designed to be "turn-key," meaning guests only need to bring their personal belongings. These services include:
- High-end safari-style canvas tent rentals equipped with sturdy bunk beds and comfortable mattresses.

When considering where to stay in the Cooperstown region, Red Creek Hideaway is worth choosing for its unmatched combination of luxury, privacy, and convenience. While hotels in the area can often be crowded and expensive during the peak baseball season, this hideaway offers a more spacious and cost-effective alternative. It is especially worth choosing for families or small groups who want to avoid the "commercial" feel of large-scale campgrounds. The property limits the number of guests to ensure that the peace and quiet of the valley are never compromised, making it a rare find for those who value solitude.
Furthermore, the resort is an ideal choice for pet owners who find it difficult to secure high-quality accommodations that truly welcome animals. The 11 acres of trails and the creek provide a natural playground for dogs that a standard hotel room simply cannot match. For local New Yorkers who have already seen the Hall of Fame and are looking for a reason to return to Cooperstown, the "glamping" experience itself becomes the main event. It offers a chance to enjoy the legendary beauty of Upstate New York while having a hot shower, a comfortable bed, and a gourmet outdoor meal at your fingertips. Whether you are there for the baseball or the breweries, choosing Red Creek Hideaway ensures that your accommodation is as memorable as your destination.
Finally, the attention to detail provided by the hosts—from the supplied coffee and tea on the deck to the thoughtfully placed sensor lights—makes it a superior choice for those who may be new to camping. It bridges the gap between the rugged outdoors and the luxury of a boutique hotel. By choosing Red Creek Hideaway, you are opting for a curated experience that highlights the best of what Cooperstown has to offer: history, nature, and genuine hospitality. It is a destination that transforms a simple trip into a rejuvenating retreat.

Customer Reviews
For people who live in the Cooperstown area it's good, but if you're like me who lives in Alabama and had to buy tickets to New York and rent a car to get to Cooperstown to see the Hall of Fame, I don't recommend it. Go and visit Cooperstown, in my opinion.
