Hickory Hill Camping Resort, located in the charming town of Bath, New York, stands as a premier destination for local families and outdoor enthusiasts. Sprawling across 215 acres of lush Western New York landscape, this resort has been a staple of the community since 1962. Now managed by the third generation of the Lehman family, the resort combines decades of tradition with modern amenities, creating a welcoming environment that many New Yorkers consider their home away from home during the warmer months.

The resort is specifically designed to encourage connection—both with nature and with one another. Location and accessibility are among the top reasons New Yorkers choose Hickory Hill. Situated at 7531 County Road 13 in Bath, NY, the resort is easily accessible via I-86 (the Southern Tier Expressway), making it a straightforward drive from major hubs like Rochester, Buffalo, and Elmira. For those traveling with large rigs, the resort is known for its wide, navigable roads and level pull-through sites, accommodating even 42-foot fifth wheels with ease. The facility has also prioritized inclusivity, featuring wheelchair-accessible entrances, dedicated parking lots, and accessible restrooms, ensuring that every member of the family can enjoy the grounds comfortably. Its proximity to the Finger Lakes Trail also makes it a strategic "base camp" for hikers looking to tackle segments of the famous 580-mile footpath.

Our first time going to this campground and had a great time! Very nice campground with a lot of amenities. We have a 42ft fifth wheel and navigated to our site (pull thru) without difficulty. We chose this campground for the Halloween themed weekend and it didn't disappoint. The scheduled activities were a lot of fun. There were clearly a lot of seasonal campers but we still felt very included in everything. We're planning to go back in the summer and we'll definitely do the Halloween themed weekend again next year!

We had a fantastic stay at Hickory Hill in Bath, NY with our RV. The standout for us was the incredibly friendly and thoughtful staff. I had seen a lovely dog behind the counter earlier in the day, and later took my daughter down to meet him (she absolutely loves dogs), but he was out with another staff member at the time. Not long after, that same staff member walked over to our site in the rain with the dog so my daughter could say hello and give him a fuss. It was such a kind, personal touch and meant a lot.The campsite itself was clean and tidy, with loads of activities available to keep everyone entertained. The store was well stocked with games, RV supplies, and other fun bits. If I had to suggest anything, it would be to include a few more basic groceries like milk. Also, the pool was lovely, but could have been a little warmer.Overall, we had a brilliant stay and would absolutely recommend Hickory Hill. It’s a warm, family-friendly place with staff who go above and beyond.

Such a beautiful campground so buckle in - it's a long one! We decided to rent an RV and try camping for a weekend. Never done this before, but started contemplating buying one for the family of 6. The campground is little over an hour southeast of Rochester, but feels like you are in the middle of nowhere and it was perfect. As I said, first time in an RV and had no clue what we were doing haha. We went to the store to ask if anyone could help us level as the rental didn't have them anymore. Allen(I think, sorry) met us right at the site and worked with us for nearly 30 minutes getting it as close as we could. What an improvement from me just parking. The only downside was the grill grate was missing from the fireplace, and if course I left the one we bought at home so we improvised and it worked great. We had water and electric, but they have sites with patios, sewer hook up, tent sites, etc. On this particular weekend they held Halloween events for the kids, craft show, chili cook off, corn maze, and trick or treating. It looked like they have events and activities every weekend. That's not to mention mini golf, pedal carts, pool when in season, golf cart rental, etc. Our 4 kids had a blast!! The only thing we missed was fishing wasn't available on grounds. Speaking of, the grounds are well maintained and clean as they can be. Bath is just a few minutes away by car so you can grab things you forgot, but most things are in the store and so reasonably priced! All the staff were just so pleasant and kind. If we do it all again, I think we'd go when it's summer time to try something different. Give this place a try, and you'll see why we loved it!

We just got back from an unforgettable camping trip, and I can't recommend it enough for families with kids! From the moment we arrived, everything was easy, welcoming, and perfectly set up for a fun family getaway. There was so much for the kids to do! The campground had a safe and clean playground, pools, splash pad, putt putt, pedal karts, and a jumping pillow. Our little adventurers loved biking the trails, collecting sticks, and roasting marshmallows at night. The kids were so busy they completely forgot about their technology! Our cabin offered the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. The location was peaceful with a picturesque view of a pond; ideal for morning coffee on the porch and evening campfires under the stars. The cabin was clean, well-stocked, and cozy, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, shower, comfy beds, and a TV (for rainy days).Peace & Quiet (with just the right amount of noise): While it was peaceful and relaxing for the adults, there were plenty of other families around, so we never felt like our kids were being “too loud.” It had that perfect balance of nature and community.Nearby Activities:We loved the close proximity to nearby activities! We went kayaking, took a boat ride, went to the county fair, a museum, and explored the quaint little town of Hammondsport. This camping trip was the perfect way to unplug and reconnect as a family. Our kids made new friends, had non-stop outdoor fun, and we all made memories we’ll never forget. We’re already planning our next trip back!Highly recommend for families with children of all ages!

The campground is convenient to the Finger Lakes area making it convenient to visit the many attractions in the area. The campground is well maintained, and the sites are roomy and level. The bathhouse was cleaned regularly. We have camped here several times over the years and always look forward to coming back.
