Lake Demmon Campground offers a tranquil escape for those seeking to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the Finger Lakes region. Located in the charming town of Bath, New York, this campground serves as a gateway to outdoor adventure and relaxation. Situated on the shores of Lake Demmon, a spring-fed body of water often cited as one of the cleanest in New York State, the park provides a refreshing alternative to the more crowded tourist hubs. For local residents and visitors alike, it represents a "secret spot" where the focus is on simple pleasures: fishing, boating, and spending quality time around a campfire with family and friends.

The campground is designed to cater to a variety of outdoor enthusiasts, from those traveling in large RVs to traditional tent campers. The environment is characterized by its lush greenery, mature trees, and direct access to the water, creating a serene atmosphere that encourages guests to disconnect from the digital world. Whether you are looking for a weekend getaway or a seasonal home base for exploring Steuben County, Lake Demmon Campground provides a rustic yet accommodating setting that highlights the scenic splendor of Upstate New York.

Location and accessibility are primary benefits of Lake Demmon Campground. Situated at 9139 E Shore Rd, Bath, NY 14810, the park is easily reachable via major regional thoroughfares such as I-86 (the Southern Tier Expressway). Its central location makes it an ideal starting point for day trips to the famous Keuka Lake wine trail, the Corning Museum of Glass, or the dramatic landscapes of Watkins Glen State Park. For those navigating with larger vehicles, the park features a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking lot, ensuring that all guests can enter and navigate the grounds with ease.

The drive to the campground itself is part of the experience, winding through the rolling hills and picturesque farmlands that define the Southern Tier. Once on-site, campers will find that the layout prioritizes views of the 48-acre lake. The accessibility features extend to the main facilities, allowing guests with mobility considerations to enjoy the public areas and amenities comfortably. With its proximity to the town of Bath, visitors are never more than a few minutes away from local grocery stores, pharmacies, and dining options, combining the feeling of a remote wilderness retreat with the convenience of nearby urban services.

What is worth choosing about Lake Demmon Campground is the authentic, unpretentious New York camping experience it offers. In a region where many parks have become increasingly commercialized, Lake Demmon retains its charm as a community-focused destination. It is the ideal choice for families who want to get their children away from screens and into the great outdoors, whether that means catching their first fish or paddling a canoe at sunset. The combination of clean water, friendly neighbors, and the convenience of on-site dining options like the Friday fish fry makes it a standout choice for those who value both nature and hospitality.

Furthermore, the park’s commitment to maintaining groomed trails and accommodating various camping styles ensures that every visitor can find their perfect pace. While real customer reviews highlight the need for consistent maintenance of shared facilities, they also frequently praise the "fantastic people" and the "grooming of the trails." Choosing Lake Demmon Campground means choosing a place with a long history of serving the local community—a place where the water is clear, the ice cream is cold, and the memories are lasting. If you are looking for a tranquil home base in the Finger Lakes, this Bath destination is well worth the visit.

Owners and staff made our stay very comfortable. What a nice little hideaway right on the atv trails of Demon Run. Very quiet, perfect for your four wheeling family outings. Give them a try this summer.

The owner is very rude. We stopped there with the kids looking to camp here. The owner came to us on his atv and told us we had to leave since we weren't campers. I told him how we wanted to be. He yelled in front of our kids and said if we don't leave he would call the police. He acted as if he was drunk. We drove around the lake and stopped to talk to one of the residents. They explained he is like that. Not a friendly guy. Wow.....
