Huck and Buck Farm, LLC is a vibrant and flourishing 7-acre working farm and sanctuary located in the heart of Smyrna, Delaware. This unique destination serves as a bridge between traditional agriculture and modern outdoor hospitality, offering a "camping farm" experience that is deeply rooted in the local community. As a Black-owned and women-owned business, Huck and Buck Farm emphasizes inclusivity, education, and the therapeutic benefits of nature. It is not merely a place to park an RV or pitch a tent; it is a living, breathing ecosystem where guests are invited to slow down, interact with farm animals, and gain a firsthand appreciation for sustainable food systems. From the rhythmic sounds of guinea fowl and turkeys to the gentle presence of well-behaved farm dogs, the property radiates a welcoming, home-away-from-home energy that resonates with visitors from across the First State.
The vision behind Huck and Buck Farm, led by Andrea and Michael Haritos, is to create a destination that balances self-care with community engagement. Whether you are looking for a secluded luxury glamping experience or a monthly RV stay, the farm provides a sanctuary where residents of Northern and Central Delaware can find respite. The farm’s dual identity as a campground and a multi-purpose event venue allows it to host everything from intimate corporate retreats to lively family reunions. With a strong commitment to being an LGBTQ+ friendly and transgender safe space, the farm prides itself on its diversity and its mission to educate visitors on food security and healthy living. For Delaware locals, it represents a rare opportunity to enjoy a "slow-down" retreat without traveling far from the conveniences of the Smyrna and Dover areas.
Location and accessibility are major highlights for those visiting Huck and Buck Farm. Situated at 765 Smyrna Landing Road, the farm is conveniently located just minutes from the center of Smyrna and is an easy 12-minute drive from Dover. This strategic positioning makes it highly accessible for residents of New Castle and Kent Counties. For travelers coming from further afield, it is only about an hour from Philadelphia and Baltimore, making it a perfect weekend getaway destination. The farm features a wheelchair-accessible parking lot, ensuring that the property is inclusive for all guests. While the terrain is naturally flat and easy to navigate, the hosts go out of their way to provide a personalized orientation for every visitor, often including an introductory tour of the gardens and animal enclosures.
The farm's proximity to regional attractions further enhances its appeal. Campers can spend their mornings participating in sunrise farm chores and their afternoons exploring the nearby Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge or the scenic Delaware Bay. For those interested in local culture, the hosts often recommend visiting nearby Smyrna staples such as Painted Stave Distilling or enjoying a meal at local favorites like Pit Daddy’s. This blend of rural seclusion and local accessibility ensures that guests have the freedom to be as active or as relaxed as they choose during their stay.

We had the most magical stay at this beautiful farm. The property is full of life - pigs, goats, guinea fowl, chickens, turkeys, bees, cats — plus two of the most well-behaved farm dogs who instantly made us feel welcome! Our own two dogs had a blast exploring the farm smells & meeting so many animals. The tiny house was adorable, spotless & comfortable, with thoughtful touches like a fridge, microwave, Keurig & a fun assortment of refreshments. The private hot tub was a fun surprise, and although the weather kept us from enjoying the fire pit, we're excited to try it next time. It felt like the perfect mix of camping charm and luxury comfort.Andrea and her husband were outstanding hosts - responsive, flexible, very warm - and deeply committed to the farm & community. We learned so much about farm life and gained appreciation for how much work goes into maintaining the property. If you get a chance to visit, rec lunch at Pit Daddy's & cocktails at Painted Stave. Excited to return! We'll be curious about camping or planning around some of the community events hosted at the farm!!
We always love spending time at Huck and Buck! My husband and I have brought our camper several times, and last night my little sister and I had the delight of enjoying a girls’ night in the comfiest little A-frame cabin. Andrea truly thinks of everything! The bathroom was stocked with clean towels, lotion, shampoo, Q-tips, and anything else you might have forgotten. We lounged in the hot tub for a while which provided which was such a treat! The A-frame bed was incredibly comfortable and had everything we needed. Even though the temperature dropped into the 20s, we stayed warm and cozy while sipping the hot chocolate provided inside. It truly is a wonderful place!
I cannot say enough nice things about Huck & Buck Farms and our host Andrea. My friend and I camped on the property. We had found the campsite through the HipCamp app. After booking the reservation, Andrea reached out to make sure we knew directions and even provided a video on the entrance and camp setup area. The farm was so easy to find and get set up.We had 2 cars, 2 tents and a Dog. There was more than ample space, extremely clean bathrooms and shower, all the amenities you can ask for and a very pretty campsite overlooking the farm.Andrea gave us a tour of the farm after seeing how excited I was about seeing the animals and learning about how they work the farm.
