Huttopia Lake George - Adirondacks Introduce
For New Yorkers seeking a sophisticated escape into the wilderness without the stress of traditional camping, Huttopia Lake George - Adirondacks offers a unique glamping experience. Located just outside the bustling center of Lake George Village, this resort provides a serene mountain retreat on nearly 300 acres of lush woodlands at the base of Kenyon Mountain. Huttopia combines the French art of living with the rugged spirit of the Adirondack Park, offering an environment where nature meets comfort. Whether you are a local from the Capital Region or traveling north from the city, this campground provides an accessible way to "unplug" while still enjoying the luxuries of a resort hotel.
The core philosophy of Huttopia is focused on community, family, and the outdoors. The resort is designed to be car-free within the tent areas, ensuring a peaceful and safe atmosphere for children to play and for guests to enjoy the sounds of the forest. With its signature wood-frame and canvas tents, a central lodge that serves as a social hub, and a focus on high-quality, freshly prepared food, Huttopia offers a camping experience that feels both authentic and indulgent. It is a place where you can spend your morning on a kid-friendly hike, your afternoon by a heated swimming pool, and your evening sharing s’mores around a private fire pit under a canopy of stars.
Location and Accessibility are primary advantages for guests visiting Huttopia. The resort is located at 1571 Lake Ave, Lake Luzerne, NY 12846, positioning it perfectly for those who want to explore the southern Adirondacks. It is approximately a 3.5-hour drive north of New York City and only an hour from Albany, making it a favorite for regional weekend getaways. While it feels worlds away in its secluded mountain setting, it is only about 10 minutes from the attractions, restaurants, and boat launches of Lake George Village.
Accessibility at the resort is well-planned to accommodate all guests. The property features a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking lot, and restrooms. Because the camping area itself is a pedestrian-only zone to maintain tranquility, the staff provides trolley services to help guests transport their luggage and gear from the central parking lot to their specific tent or cabin. This thoughtful approach ensures that even though you are deep in the woods, the logistical challenges of traditional camping are completely removed.

Customer Reviews
My husband myself and our six month old puppy just spent a couple of days at Huttopia. Our tent cabin was amazing. We had firewood already in our bundle package. And it was so easy to run down and ask for more. The staff is extremely helpful and went out of their way to do whatever we needed. I honestly look forward to taking my grandchildren up in the summertime. So they can enjoy and experience the outdoors.
We really enjoyed the location and the concept of Huttopia. The tent was comfortable, private and not a far walk from the facilities or main lodge. All of the staff we met were amazing. While we were looking for the camping experience, we were also able to go into the Lake George village and surrounding areas to enjoy other activities throughout the day. We would definitely plan to come back, and also plan to check out a couple of other Huttopia locations.
We had an AMAZING weekend stay at Huttopia Adirondacks. Accommodations were perfect; looked just like the pictures on the website and had everything we needed. The main lodge was gorgeous and had a ton of games and activities. Food was great! Swimming pool was immaculate and water was nice and warm. Our group had AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile phones, no issues with cell service on any of them.Atmosphere was wonderful, and we had a blast with all the different scheduled activities, especially the yoga, rock painting, and candle making. Only used the bathhouse a couple of times because our tents came with bathrooms (which is so convenient, and a rare find when camping), but they were clean and well maintained. Honestly cannot think of a single complaint; this was a perfect camping experience. Will definitely be back, and will look into visiting some of their other locations as well.
Beautiful grounds that are well maintained. Friendly staff - all of them - but especially Johan, who was kind enough to speak to our noisy neighbors when they wouldnt respect our request for them to quiet down. Well equipped accommodations. Many amenities and activities on site but also very close to Lake George Village and other things to do. We had a perfect weekend getaway here and can't wait to return. 10/10 recommend Huttopia.
Kind and friendly staff, but overall we were quite disappointed. We paid around $300 per night and didn’t receive any wood for the stove, so it was freezing at night (October). The reception sells wood, but it closes at 7 pm, so make sure to arrive early or bring dry wood in advance. The night before we stayed at another place in the catskill area for the same price — it had heating and provided extra firewood, which made the experience completely different. If you come prepared, this place could be nice, but for the price we expected a bit comfort.
