King Phillips Campground & Resort Introduce
For New Yorkers who consider the Adirondacks their second home, King Phillips Campground & Resort represents one of the most reliable and strategically located destinations in the Lake George region. Nestled at the base of the scenic French Mountain, this campground offers a harmonious blend of rugged mountain aesthetics and modern resort-style amenities. As many local families know, finding a spot that balances the serenity of the woods with immediate access to the "Queen of American Lakes" can be a challenge. King Phillips solves this by providing 219 campsites that range from primitive wooded areas for traditionalists to high-end, full-service pads for the modern RV traveler. It is a place where the air is scented with pine and the nights are quiet, yet the vibrant energy of Lake George Village is just a short drive or trolley ride away.
The atmosphere at King Phillips is one of established community and professional management. Now a part of the Modern America Campgrounds family, the resort has maintained its reputation for being a family-centric haven where children can roam safely and pets are welcomed as part of the clan. Local reviews frequently highlight the unique "woodsy" feel of the park; unlike some commercial lots that feel like paved parking areas, this campground prides itself on preserving large trees and providing ample space between sites. This layout ensures that whether you are staying for a weekend or an entire season, you maintain a sense of privacy and a genuine connection to the New York wilderness. It is an ideal basecamp for those who want to spend their days hiking the Echo Cliffs or shopping at the nearby outlets and their evenings relaxing by a private fire ring.
Location and Accessibility are arguably the resort’s greatest assets. Situated at 14 Bloody Pond Road, Lake George, NY 12845, the campground is positioned approximately 1.5 miles from the heart of Lake George Village. This proximity allows guests to bypass the heavy traffic and parking struggles of the downtown area by utilizing the local trolley system or the Warren County Bikeway, which is located just 200 feet from the campground entrance. For New Yorkers traveling from the south via I-87 (The Northway), the campground is easily reached via Exit 21, making it a stress-free transition from the highway to the campsite. The roads within the park are well-maintained and all-weather rated, accommodating even the largest Class A motorhomes and long fifth-wheels without difficulty.
Services Offered at King Phillips Campground & Resort are comprehensive, designed to cater to both the "glamper" and the minimalist. The staff is noted for their friendly, on-site assistance, ensuring that guests have everything they need for a seamless stay. Key services include:
- Full-service RV accommodations featuring 30-amp and 50-amp electrical hookups, as well as dedicated water and sewer connections.

- A seasonal trolley stop located conveniently near the park entrance, providing easy transport to Million Dollar Beach and local restaurants.
- Flexible payment options including major credit cards, debit cards, and modern NFC mobile payments for all fees and store purchases.
Features and Highlights of the resort make it a standout choice for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The facility is more than just a place to park; it is a recreational hub with a variety of onsite activities. Highlights include:

We love it here! This campground is truly unique — surrounded by beautiful trees and plenty of space between RVs, which makes it feel peaceful and private. It’s also wonderfully pet-friendly 🐶❤️ Our dog loved it as much as we did! A perfect spot to relax and enjoy Lake George. We’ll definitely be back for sure!
Very nice campground. Friendly staff. We stayed here for a week while visiting Lake George and had zero issues. We did end up with a spot that had 30 amp service but they sold adapters in their shop for a good price. They have propane, and even an arcade. Highly recommend if visiting Lake George.
My husband and I have been staying in Lake George for about 10 years but have never stayed at King Phillips campground until this past weekend. It was fantastic! We rented out the cabin and it was better than we expected. Newly renovated. Clean and spacious. Outdoor yard with little fireplace was perfect. Pool was a nice temperature and clean. Location to downtown lake george was great. Only a few minutes drive. Paved woodsy bike paths that lead right into town if u want to bike it. Janet the property manager was thee most helpful and accommodating. There is nothing I would change about our stay. Perfect experience. Can't wait to go stay there again next summer! Highly recommend!
Older campground, clean, lots of sites mostly wooded. Great location, minutes to Lake George village and steamboats. Store could use a few more food items. They should be more strict with after hours check in. Camper next to us came in 10pm and set up their trailer for over an hour. Quiet hours are 10pm to 8am.
Okay, this campground makes me want to get a seasonal spot here..King Phillips campground is quiet and is very spacious..The bathrooms and showers were very clean and all the dogs were leashed. We slept in all weekend mornings and there wasn't a peep from fellow campers.. The office staff were very helpful and had a good attitude..The lot was very large and wooded. Looking forward to staying here again..
