When deciding on a campground in the Massachusetts Hilltowns, Indian Hollow is worth choosing for its authentic, "off-the-grid" feel. For many local users, the lack of reliable cell service is not a drawback but a primary feature, allowing for a true mental break and a focus on family and friends. The presence of the river directly adjacent to the camping areas provides a natural entertainment source that is far superior to any man-made water park. Whether you are tubing down the gentle current or just sitting on the bank watching the water flow past, the river creates a soothing atmosphere that defines the stay.
Furthermore, the campground is worth choosing because of its spaciousness. Reviews from regular visitors often highlight the "plenty of space" available for activities of all kinds, making it an ideal choice for reunions or large groups where kids need room to run. The grounds are well-maintained, and the fire pits are of high quality, ensuring that your nighttime experience is as enjoyable as your daytime excursions. By choosing Indian Hollow, you are opting for a classic New England camping experience that prioritizes the beauty of the Westfield River and the community spirit of the outdoor life.

Just left after having a family reunion for the past 4 days at the site. Having the stream right there was a good distraction and provided great activities for the young ones and the older family members as well tubing down the river and just taking a dip to cool off when it got a little to warm was nice. There is plenty of space to set up tents and park RVs as well as space for activities of all kinds. Very nice place.
Great area. Easy access to river for swimming and fishing. Well kept. Good fire pits. No cell service but they have an actual working Payphone. There's also only one bathroom for men and women with one shower in it.
Campground with numerous campsites around a circle of grass. Just to the side of a river that's very shallow, you can go tubing on it. Some campsites are shaded some are not.
Great campsites. Some are on the river, others in a big open meadow area so you can choose what you prefer. Bear poles are provided. There are places for cook fires and big fire rings if you want a fire to visit around.
It's so pretty and relaxing here.
