What is worth choosing about Indian Rock Campgrounds is the authentic, "unplugged" experience it offers without sacrificing the basics. In a world of massive, commercialized RV resorts, Indian Rock maintains the charm of a traditional family-run campground. It is worth choosing specifically for its location; having the ability to step out of your camper and immediately onto a historic rail trail is a rare luxury for hikers and cyclists. The quiet nature of the park, often only interrupted by the sound of a nearby farm or the rustle of leaves, makes it an ideal spot for those who truly want to decompress.
Furthermore, the campground’s dedication to cleanliness and maintenance is evident in its facilities. As noted by many regular visitors, the bath houses are kept in excellent condition, which is often a deciding factor for families with children. The blend of affordable rates, friendly management, and a location that serves as a gateway to Gettysburg, Hershey, and Lancaster makes Indian Rock Campgrounds a standout choice for anyone looking to experience the heart of South Central Pennsylvania. Whether you are here for the kid-friendly hikes or the peaceful creek-side views, you will find a welcoming community waiting for you at Indian Rock.

We were greeted with smiles and laughters as 2 of "Santa's helpers" greeted us after a long and arduous trip! My husband couldn't stop laughing! This RV park is beautiful and instead of just staying the night, we decided to stay a couple days!
We spent a weekend at Indian Rock campground this past March. Dave was great and helped us get into our spot. This is a great campground with a creek and close proximity to the rail trail. Bath houses were clean and well-maintained. We had a great time.-Bill
Great little family campground with easy access to the York Heritage Rail Trail. Friendly owners, easy access from route 83 off the Leaders Heights exit, quiet, unique fire pit locations with lots of room.
The signs marking this campground, just a few miles from I-83, made it easy to find. We were discouraged to find many tired looking seasonal campers, ruts in the gravel roadway, 20 amp service and shared water service. Since we were attending a local event we opted to give it a try, and after a week+ stay we were sad to be leaving. This CG is not for glamping, but the helpful staff, close proximity to a rails to trails bikeway and quiet, parklike setting make for a peaceful visit. We didn’t test the free CG wifi; T-Mobile cell service was robust, Verizon not quite as good, but useable. There are trees over the sites affording plenty of shade, but a few pockets would allow for Starlink service. Overall, a safe, quiet place to spend a couple of days.
RV and tent camping. We visit York PA a few times a year. For family time with our adult children. IRC has always made us feel welcome. The grounds are well kept. It is very convenient to any town needs we might have. But yet you are still able to enjoy a layed back in nature camping experience.
