Lake Of The Woods Campground Introduce

For residents and visitors in the Virginia region looking for a peaceful and secure outdoor experience, Lake Of The Woods Campground stands out as a hidden gem in Locust Grove. Located within the sprawling, gated community of the Lake of the Woods Association (LOWA), this campground offers a unique opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of Orange County while benefiting from the amenities of a well-established residential resort. The atmosphere is quiet, comfortable, and distinctly community-oriented, making it a favorite for those who want a camping trip that feels both safe and restorative. Whether you are seeking a weekend under the stars in a tent or a comfortable stay in an RV, this destination provides a serene backdrop for making family memories.

The campground is divided into two distinct sections, offering a total of 12 well-maintained campsites that cater to various camping preferences. Because it is situated within a private, gated subdivision, the campground maintains a level of tranquility and security that is often hard to find in public parks. The surrounding area is lush with greenery, providing ample shade and a sense of seclusion from the nearby residential streets. Nice comfortable, quiet pavilion for a picnic for our medium sized group. There were grills and a playground but we didn't use them (so i cannot rate them). It served our purpose.

I visited LOW as part of the 4th of July parade. We didn't stay at the campground. We were just lined up waiting near it. The restrooms and facilities were clean!
