Customer Reviews
We had a wonderful stay at Lakeside Campground over Labor Day weekend. It is a busy campground, but the staff were all very friendly. Our kids LOVED the big pool, and of course the lake is a big hit. We were impressed with the ice cream social the staff offered on Sunday as well. We plan to come back next summer.
Lakeside Campground is wonderful and the owners are fantastic. It is very family friendly with a pond and an outdoor heated swimming pool. They have made tremendous improvements to the campground and sincerely care about all of the people who chose to stay here. I was made aware of a recent post that described them as being racist and denying people their free right to speech. As I was involved in this incident, I would like to shine some light on it. Unfortunately, at the time, I was fearful of addressing my concerns with the people camping next to us. The times we are living in caused me to fear retaliation if I complained directly to the party involved. I was offended by the raucous behavior, extreme foul language and mistreatment of the standing trees. I was wrong for not speaking to them directly as I discovered a few days later. The campers were simply letting off steam and having a good time. When the owners spoke to them, their behavior changed. I am grateful that the owners of this establishment were willing to address the campers and explain the rules that are in place to protect all those who stay here. It takes courage to have rules and confront people when those rules are not being followed. I regret that they were put in the position of having to intervene as it resulted in a bad review that may affect their business. I however, praise them for having rules, enforcing them and offering a place that is safe for all campers. They are not racist and do not deny people their free speech.
My family recently stayed at Lakeside Campground for Labor Day weekend. We had taken a trip to Disneyworld just a two weeks before and honestly, had a better time at Lakeside! We relaxed, did some fishing, went out in a canoe, paddleboat, and kayak, our girls swam in the pool, etc. It never got too noisy -even though it was a holiday weekend - but it wasn't so strict that we felt like we'd be shunned if our dogs barked or girls yelled to each other while playing. Overall, it was a great experience - clean, great fellow campers, friendly staff, an ice cream social took place, clean pool.....can't say enough good about it. We already booked our next stay in 2026!
Don’t come here if you want to camp and enjoy a good time, this place is basically an RV community and everyone here give racists vibe if your not white you’re not right basically, and complain about you to the owner for small things like using foul language, I shouldn’t have to watch my language when I’m camping with friends in an open space, restricting my freedom of speech while outside is appalling to me. Highly don’t recommend coming here, you’re better off staying in a hotel or other spacious camping location. Camp sites are on top of each other and offer no privacy between campers. Feels more like a closed off community than a camp site.
Great family campground, lake front sites have a great view clean modern and well maintained bathroom and showers. You and bring your own kayaks or they have rentals. There rec room is well stocked with games. Great well stocked camp store, the owners are kind and attentive.
