Marylander RV Park Introduce

For the military community and Department of Defense personnel stationed in or traveling through the Chesapeake Bay region, Marylander RV Park offers a secure and convenient home away from home. Located within the Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) installation, this park is managed by the Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) program. It serves as a vital resource for those seeking quality lodging while on assignment, visiting family, or exploring the rich historical and natural landscapes of Harford County. The park provides a disciplined yet welcoming environment, reflecting the professional standards of the U.S. Army while offering the quietude expected of a premier Maryland getaway.

The Marylander RV Park is specifically tailored to the needs of the mobile military family and veteran community. Unlike commercial parks that may feel overcrowded, this facility maintains a limited number of high-quality sites to ensure a peaceful atmosphere. It is a place where neighbors share a common bond of service, and the security of being on-post provides a level of safety and serenity that is highly valued by its residents. For Marylanders with base access, it represents an affordable and reliable option for local recreation, situated just a short distance from the stunning shorelines of the Bush and Susquehanna Rivers.

Marylander RV Park is located on Atlantic Court within the Aberdeen Proving Ground (North Area), Aberdeen, MD 21005. Its position on the installation allows for easy access to various base amenities while remaining tucked away from the main industrial and testing sectors. Access to the park is restricted to authorized personnel, ensuring a controlled and secure environment. For those traveling with larger rigs, the park's layout and nearby access roads are designed to accommodate modern recreational vehicles with ease.

  • Located on Atlantic Court with clear signage within the Aberdeen Area of the installation.
  • Wheelchair accessible parking lot available on-site for inclusive access.
  • Proximity to the Maryland Route 22 and Route 715 gates for straightforward entry and exit.
  • Close to major regional thoroughfares like I-95 and US-40, making it a perfect hub for North-South travelers.
  • Access to the APG visitor center for those needing to coordinate guest passes or sponsorship.

The services provided at Marylander RV Park focus on delivering a comprehensive "full-service" experience. The MWR staff and on-site camp hosts work diligently to maintain the facility's standards, offering utilities and digital amenities that cater to long-term stays and short-term visits alike. Recognizing the importance of modern connectivity, the park provides password-protected Wi-Fi, allowing guests to stay in touch with family or handle professional obligations from the comfort of their RV. The facility also emphasizes a clean environment, with regular maintenance and strict adherence to environmental safety protocols.

  • Full RV sewer hookups provided at each designated site for maximum convenience.
  • Reliable running water and electrical hookups (30/50 amp) to support all classes of RVs.
  • Password-protected Wi-Fi specifically for Marylander guests (credentials provided upon check-in).
  • Professional on-site parking designed to keep personal vehicles and rigs organized.
  • Acceptance of multiple payment methods, including credit cards and debit cards, for all camping fees.
  • Access to communal restrooms and laundry facilities located nearby at the Shore Park building.

One of the primary highlights of Marylander RV Park is its integration with the broader APG recreation system. Guests aren't just renting a parking space; they are gaining access to a wide array of military-grade facilities. From the scenic waterfront views to the proximity of the Ruggles Golf Course, there is no shortage of activities. The park is also notably kid-friendly and dog-friendly, featuring outdoor spaces where families can enjoy the fresh air of the Chesapeake region together. The well-kept picnic areas and local trails offer the perfect setting for an evening stroll or a weekend barbecue.

  • Designated picnic tables at each site for outdoor dining and social interaction.
  • Pet-friendly policies that allow dogs (on-leash), making it easier for the whole family to travel together.
  • Proximity to the APG Commissary and Post Exchange (PX) for convenient shopping and supplies.
  • Access to base recreation such as bowling at Brewner Lanes and fitness centers.
  • Nearby waterfront areas offering opportunities for fishing and observation of local Maryland wildlife.
  • A quiet environment governed by 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM quiet hours to ensure restful stays for all.

To secure a spot at Marylander RV Park, reservations are required and should be handled through the Outdoor Recreation office. Because the park is part of a military installation, there is a specific reservation packet that must be completed. What makes Marylander RV Park worth choosing is the unparalleled combination of security, value, and community. For eligible Maryland residents and visiting military personnel, it offers a level of peace of mind that commercial parks simply cannot match. The "full hookup" sites mean you don't have to compromise on comfort, while the affordable MWR rates provide exceptional value for your travel budget. It is particularly worth choosing for those who have business on the installation or those who want a safe, centrally located base from which to explore the historic town of Havre de Grace or the nearby Susquehanna State Park.

Furthermore, choosing the Marylander means supporting the MWR programs that give back to the military community. While the reservation process requires a bit of advanced paperwork—reflecting the site's secure nature—the reward is a stay in a beautifully maintained, quiet, and professional environment. Whether you are staying for a single night or utilizing the maximum seasonal stay limits, the Marylander RV Park provides a stable and high-quality foundation for your Maryland adventures. It is truly a standout choice for those who value order, safety, and the camaraderie of the military lifestyle.

Attempted to make reservations and was told I need to go online, print and sign their policy and email it to them prior to making reservations. I asked if I could do it there and was told no. So much for supporting those that travel for a night or two. Do they realize we are often in RVs? I have never experienced a dumber policy and have stayed in famcamps coast to coast. Pure silliness.

Great place (I like The Marylander RV Park better than the other one). The reason for the 4 stars versus 5 was because, for a few weeks solid, I couldn't reach ONE person at APG MWR to make reservations. It was frustrating and pathetic, and, only after filing an ICE Complaint did I get in touch with anyone. Within 15 minutes of filing the ICE Complaint, I was contacted and was able to make reservations. It shouldn't have to be that way.

Peaceful here. Not a ton to do here on post, but lots of cute stuff to see in BelAir & Havre de Grace close by. Commissary is nice- beware of hours at the Exchange, they close pretty early on the weekends :)
