As a veteran-owned and women-owned business, the park is built on a foundation of service and hospitality, aiming to provide a welcoming retreat for travelers and long-term residents alike. Nestled among the rolling hills and lush forests of Allegany County, the park offers a peaceful atmosphere that captures the natural beauty of the region, which is often characterized by the early morning mist that gives the park its name.

The park caters to a diverse range of visitors, from weekend warriors exploring the local cheese trails to contractors and families seeking quality affordable housing in the mobile economy. With a focus on inclusivity, Misty Mountains Park is recognized as an LGBTQ+ friendly destination and a transgender safespace. Whether you are looking for a quiet spot to park your big rig or a scenic area to pitch a tent, the park provides a versatile environment designed to accommodate the modern adventurer while maintaining the rustic charm of the New York wilds.

Located at 5233 Maple Lane in Cuba, New York, Misty Mountains Park boasts a strategic location that is both secluded and highly accessible. It is situated just off Interstate 86, making it a convenient stop for travelers journeying across the state. Within walking distance or a very short drive, guests can visit the world-famous Cuba Cheese Shoppe or enjoy a performance at the Palmer Opera House. For those concerned with accessibility, the park features a wheelchair-accessible parking lot and level ground in key common areas. The facility is managed primarily through virtual systems, allowing for a seamless and automated check-in and check-out process that serves the needs of today's tech-savvy travelers.

Misty Mountains Park is worth choosing for its unbeatable combination of affordability, convenience, and community-focused values. In a world where many RV parks are becoming increasingly corporate, Misty Mountains retains a personal, veteran-owned touch that prioritizes the safety and comfort of its guests. Its status as an inclusive "safespace" makes it a preferred choice for travelers who value respect and diversity. The park's year-round availability is a significant benefit for those needing a stable place to stay during the winter months, a rarity in many New York campgrounds.

Furthermore, the park’s commitment to modernizing the camping experience—evidenced by the EV charging stations and automated check-in systems—ensures a hassle-free stay. Whether you are coming to "find your cheese" in downtown Cuba or looking to explore the hidden gems of the Allegany Wilds, Misty Mountains Park provides a solid, well-located base camp. Its quiet environment, away from the hustle of the city yet close to major transit routes, offers the perfect balance for a relaxing and productive visit to Western New York. Never stayed here. However, I reserved an overnight stay a month out. Two weeks later in late August of '25, I get an email from Roverpass saying my reservation was canceled due to a "closure". At this point I assumed I would get a refund, so I gave them a week. After a week I called to ask when I could expect my refund. My call went straight to voicemail three different times and the automated system said the mailbox was full and to try back later. I decided to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Its a good thing I did because when I talked to another local RV park nearby, they said Misty Mountains was being foreclosed on and the owner was deceased and before his death he was deep in legal trouble. You would think Roverpass would be aware of this and shut down the reservation system as well.

Never would I recommend this place. Park is run down and owner has yet to return my $500 that he agreed to. To start with the park is overgrown with tall grass and everytime it rains it floods and is a mudhole. Owner (Bob) has some sketchy characters that “work” for him. Push mowing 2ft tall grass. The site next to me was leaking water from their spigot which the owner knew prior to me arriving. They attempted to fix it to no avail and it still flooded my site with a nice muddy hole next to my door. Trash was always overflowing the dumpster as well. Now onto the owner, I reserved a spot close to a month prior to arriving, I paid $350 for the remainder of May and $700 as my last months rent to hold a long term spot all paid prior to me arriving, so even if I left, technically May was my first and last month, so theoretically, he should still owe $350 back. I saw the kind of condition the park was in and decided to leave after a week and a half. Contacted the owner and told him I was leaving and he asked me what a fair refund in my opinion would be. I told him since it was a short notice I’d just take $500 back and he could keep $550. Remind you I only stayed a week and a half. Owner said that was fair to him and he’d get it refunded. Long story short I’ve yet to receive my refund after getting the run around for 3 weeks. I told the owner that I needed my money and was more than generous giving him 3 weeks to return it. Now he tells me I have to sue him. On top of that, while I was staying there a lady had a problem with the laundromat and told the owner about it and he proceeded to yell at her for bringing up the issue. Thought for $700 and all the good reviews I was going to stay the rest of the year but stay at your own risk. Text messages as proof below.

We had a great time just relaxing by the campfire! Bob is the owner and he was very accommodating and stopped whenever we were outside to make sure we had everything we needed. It is a no frills campground but that was what we wanted - a place to decompress, get together with our friends who also camped there with us and have an epic bonfire!

Reserved a "Premium 50 amp Pull Thru". Had to back out of the site to leave. Narrow path road, soggy drop off on each side. To risky to pull out forward. The 50 amp Pull Thru sites are a disgrace. They decide to cut overgrown grass the 1 night I stayed blowing grass against the side of my motorhome. The grass cutter got pissed of when I asked he stop. What a dump!!!!!!

We needed a spot with great views of the sky to work online. This place is great! Our site looks out on a beautiful pond. Super staff. Huge and flat space for our class a. Oh yea, super larger dog run area. Right off highway and easy in and out for larger rigs. Would recommend for quick overnight stop or longer term.
