Campground Adventures Introduce

Campground Adventures is a hidden gem in the Southern Tier of New York, offering a refreshingly unique and inclusive approach to the great outdoors. Located in Hinsdale, this women-owned destination has quickly built a reputation for its meticulous grounds, welcoming atmosphere, and creative glamping options. The property is designed to foster a deep connection between families and the wonders of nature, providing a serene environment where the stress of everyday life melts away. Whether you are a local New Yorker seeking a weekend escape or a traveler exploring the Enchanted Mountains region, this campground offers a sense of belonging that is rare in the traditional camping world.

The philosophy at Campground Adventures goes beyond standard hospitality; it is rooted in creating a safe and affirming space for everyone. As a women-owned business, the owners take immense pride in the small details that make a stay memorable—from the artistic touches found in their themed rentals to the exceptional cleanliness of the facilities. The campground is proudly LGBTQ+ friendly and identifies as a transgender safe space, ensuring that all guests can relax and be themselves. This commitment to inclusivity, combined with the natural beauty of the Ischua Creek running alongside the property, creates a "submissive" and peaceful experience that many visitors describe as far exceeding their expectations.

Conveniently situated at 5811 NY-16 in Hinsdale, New York, Campground Adventures is easily accessible for residents across Western New York and the Southern Tier. It is located just off the I-86 expressway (Exit 27), making it a straightforward drive from Buffalo, Olean, or even the Finger Lakes region. The campground’s placement on NY-16 provides a perfect balance of rural seclusion and easy connectivity. Guests can enjoy the feeling of being "off the grid" while remaining just a short trip away from local attractions like Cuba Lake, the Seneca Oil Springs, and the popular shops and dining in nearby Ellicottville.

Accessibility is a priority at the park, with on-site infrastructure designed to be welcoming to all. The facility includes a wheelchair-accessible parking lot and modern restrooms designed for accessibility. The grounds are level and well-maintained, allowing for easy movement between the various campsites, the playground, and the communal areas. For those traveling with larger rigs, the wide access roads and spacious RV sites simplify the navigation and setup process. The campground also features on-site parking for all guests, ensuring that your vehicle is always close to your base of operations.

  • Full-service RV camping with electric, water, and sewer hookups available.
  • Variety of unique glamping accommodations including the "Gypsy RV," "Stargazer Tent," and a "Tailgating Skoolie."
  • Pristine bathhouse featuring hot showers, changing areas, and exceptionally clean flush toilets.
  • Communal outdoor kitchen under a pavilion, equipped with grills, griddles, and essential cooking tools.
  • Pet-friendly policies that include a fully fenced-in dog park for off-leash exercise.
  • Kayak and fishing gear rentals available for use on the scenic Ischua Creek.
  • High-speed Starlink Wi-Fi available in common areas and throughout many of the tent sites.
  • Seasonal farm experiences with on-site sheep, goats, and free-range chickens (eggs available for purchase).

The services provided at Campground Adventures are designed to enhance the comfort of even the most novice campers. The communal kitchen is a standout feature, allowing guests who might not have their own cooking gear to prepare gourmet meals in the heart of nature. For those staying in the glamping units, management provides thoughtful amenities such as memory foam mattresses, Keurig coffee makers, and mini-fridges. The hosts, Jason, Val, and Amanda, are frequently praised for their hands-on approach, often going out of their way to ensure guests are comfortable and familiar with the local area.

The highlights of the property are often found in its interactions with the local ecosystem. The creek serves as a natural cooling station during the New York summer, and the well-tended gardens around the camp attract butterflies and songbirds. Families particularly appreciate the kid-friendly atmosphere, where structured activities and a safe playground environment allow children to explore freely. The presence of farm animals during the summer months adds an educational and fun element for younger guests, making every stay feel like a true adventure.

Campground Adventures is worth choosing because it offers a rare combination of modern glamping luxury and traditional wilderness serenity, all within a strictly inclusive framework. It is the perfect choice for those who might feel intimidated by larger, more corporate campgrounds or those who want to ensure their vacation dollars support a women-owned, community-focused business. The cleanliness of the facilities alone—often cited as the best in the state by regular campers—sets a standard that few others can match.

Furthermore, the variety of the experience makes it worth the trip. You can choose to bring your own rig and enjoy the full hookups, or you can opt for the " Gypsy " or " Stargazer " experience and let the hosts handle the setup. The proximity to the creek provides endless entertainment, and the short drive to Ellicottville means you can enjoy fine dining or skiing during the day and return to your peaceful campfire at night. Whether you are looking for a place where your 3-year-old can play safely or a retreat where you can feel fully respected and welcomed as part of the LGBTQ+ community, Campground Adventures delivers an exceptional, five-star New York outdoor experience. Campground Adventure’s exceeded my expectations. The pictures on the website do not do it justice. The grounds are so well cared for. The combination of the natural beauty of the property and the little details the owners have added make this place truly unique and creates a fun and submissive experience. Jason, Val, and Amanda were amazing hosts that go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. We stayed 3 nights in the Gypsy RV which was so much fun. We did not use the communal kitchen but I did check it out and it is perfectly kept. The communal showers and bathrooms were also the cleanest I have ever seen at a campsite. Overall 10/10 five star stay.

We absolutely love this campground. It small, quite and easy with my 3 year old daughter. she can just run and play on the playground right across from our site. The creek is a perk in the summer to keep cool. The owners are so nice and always accommodating. We been visiting 2 a year since 2023.

We booked the A-frame for the weekend with our dog, and had such a wonderful time! The glamping sites are very well thought out. The bathrooms/showers are very clean. There is a communal sitting/eating area, with a kitchen stocked with cooking necessities. There is a little shop with essentials/merch. There is a huge dog park, a walking trail, and kayaking. Every detail has really been well thought out and the owners are constantly adding and improving.Above all else, the staff and owners are so friendly and truly made the experience so nice. We are looking forward to visiting again soon!

Our absolute favorite campground! Close enough for a weekend getaway but far enough away to be secluded. We didn't discover this place until we already had a travel trailer but I wish we had! I'd love to come back and stay in one of their yurts or themed campers. It's quiet and perfect for camping right next to the water and do some fishing. I think this is our 7th or 8th visit and we are already looking forward to the next one!

Really lovely private glamping/camping area. We took our own travel trailer so did not see inside the glamping options, and there are plenty of those, all unique! Camping sites are a good size. Only issue of note was that the electric and water hook up are at the front of the site - we did not have an extension cable, but CA allow you to park in the direction of your choice, so we enjoyed parking side on to the Ischua Creek and making the most of the serene view. There is a dog park, a full outdoor kitchen and spotless shower/restrooms. Definitely coming back.
