What makes Mountain Vista Campground truly worth choosing is its unwavering commitment to the "old-fashioned" values of camping: peace, community, and quality time. While many modern parks focus on high-density occupancy, Mountain Vista maintains a cozy and personal scale that fosters a sense of belonging. The fact that many of the sites are wooded and secluded means you can enjoy a private morning coffee by your fire ring while still being part of a vibrant, active community. The cleanliness of the bathhouses and the consistent upkeep of the grounds reflect a deep pride of ownership that translates directly into a better experience for the guest.
Furthermore, the park’s dedication to being "Big Rig friendly" while still providing beautiful spots for tent campers ensures a diverse and inclusive environment. The location serves as the perfect "home base" for exploring the Poconos—you can spend your morning hiking at the Delaware Water Gap, your afternoon shopping at the Crossings Premium Outlets, and your evening back at your quiet site listening to the sounds of the forest. Whether you are a seasoned camper or a first-timer, the combination of top-tier customer service, artistic touches, and a wealth of on-site activities makes Mountain Vista Campground one of the most inviting spots in Pennsylvania to create lasting summer memories.

Customer Reviews
I love this campground, and am now making it my new favorite spot when I'm in the area. The customer service is top notch! We had to cancel half of our stay due to issues with the RV, but when we called them, they gladly let us resume the rest of our stay. The campground is beautiful and quiet. I highly recommend this campground!
This was our second stay at Mountain Vista Campground, with the first one being six years ago, and let me tell you, it still has that same charm. The place has been kept in great shape, and it feels like time stood still in all the right ways. The bath houses were a pleasant surprise. Clean, easy to use, and plenty of hot water. Nothing makes a camping trip better than knowing you will not have to suffer through a freezing shower. We tented it this time, and the sites were neat and well kept. The staff was friendly and genuinely made us feel welcome from the start. One of the highlights was the trading post, or as we like to call it, the campground general store. They had everything from wood and ice to a bunch of little odds and ends you might need. The only catch is they accept cash or PayPal, so leave the fancy cards in the car. If you cannot find what you need there, no problem. There are a few shops nearby where you can stock up.The campground itself is on the smaller side, which actually makes it feel cozy and personal. It is the kind of place where you can really unplug and just enjoy being away. A fun detail we loved was the wood artwork scattered around. There are carvings and sculptures all throughout the grounds, and they give the whole place a creative and welcoming touch.Overall, Mountain Vista is a great place to escape for a few days. It has everything you need, a friendly vibe, and a relaxed atmosphere that keeps you coming back. It may not be the biggest campground, but it is definitely one of the most inviting.
I made a reservation for a weekend in October. I mailed in a check for their deposit. Since they don't take credit cards. Unfortunately, we had to cancel. I gave them 6 weeks notice for this cancelation. They still charged me $15.00 for a cancelation fee. They only send out credits once a month.
We LOVED our time here!Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The cabin, grounds, and common areas were all well kept and clean! We definitely will be back
We have been going to this campsite for nearly 10 years now. The owners and people they have working for them are truly salt of the earth. Our camper came off of our truck last year while leaving-they helped to make a bad situation much more bearable. The grounds are clean and well kept. The activities they have are always a great time. Truly a remarkable place.
