Beautiful family friendly campground. I've been going camping for 9 yrs now and I would think of going anywhere else. Also very affordable. $15 per night.
Ox Bow Campsites is incredible, highly recommended for everyone who loves camping and for those who want to try it for the first time. Beautiful landscapes, nature in all its glory. The site also offers electricity, bathrooms, a playground, hot water showers, and they sell the firewood you need. We can’t wait to go back 💚
Very accommodating. Great and easy place to set up. Tom took us right down to the campsite and even brought down the wood for us. The hospitality was awesome and will definitely stay here again. No bells and whistles but enough to get a taste of the outdoors.
It was our 4th season coming to this beautiful and peaceful place. Usually, it is calm and campers are spread. However, it changed this time around. The place is gaining popularity, so the camp expands. Unfortunately, we had neighbors right next to our lot (unlike before), which is a new expanded lot. They stayed up all night with music on, talking and cooking. It's sad that some people lack common courtesy and do not practice friendly neighbor policy. Tom is a great host. But if this place is becoming more about money then the experience, then we will take our loyalty somewhere else.
Went there for a long weekend tent camping with 10+ friends. The camp ground manager (owner?) Tom was pretty cool and does not enforce too much rules to the point where it would annoy the campers. There are RV camp sites right next to the tent area. In the proximity to the camp sites, there's a large pile of cut woods and expired furnitures, chairs, etc. Wish it were cleaned up. It looks a bit unsafe for kids if they sneak in the area. And the area collects rain water which does infest the entire area with mosquitos. The camp site is about 100 feet from small river where one can dip in. The current is fairly strong though especially after rain. Kids under 10 shouldn't go in without strict adults supervision.Camp fire is allowed in the fire ring. One can purchase fire wood from Tom as well as ice if needed. The rate came out to be $10 per person per night. Reasonable for summer camping in early July.
