Customer Reviews
I always enjoy visiting this campground! My cousin stays here seasonally, and it’s such a great spot. The pool is clean and perfect for relaxing on warm days, and the scenic views around the campground make it feel like a peaceful getaway. There’s even a convenient country store on site, which is super handy for little things you might need. Best of all, it’s a quiet, relaxing place to stay and perfect if you’re looking to unwind and enjoy nature. Definitely recommend checking it out!
"Rooms"=sites. Sites are fairly large, level, decent privacy. Lots of shade if you want it, or open lots/sun if you want it. Roads are primitive/not paved, so you have to go slow/be careful. Not all loops have a bath house or laundromat. Activities are OK; some are kind of new/different. Yet they're missing some campground favorites, such as a Camp Olympics or site decorating contests/themed holidays. Camp store is pretty good. Pool is nice & clean. You're in a good spot between Worcester & Leominster to be able to hit local attractions/events. Price is good; can camp for a night or a season.
Nice campground. Clean quiet nice place for a family get together
I stayed at Pout and Trout last week during my thru hike of the Midstate Trail. It was such a relief to get a hot shower and be able to fully charge all of my electronics with an outlet right by my tent. The staff were super helpful too, and flexible about my arrival time which is really important when you're on foot! Highly recommend to hikers.
I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone, this place isn’t even fit for a caveman. I have never felt so belittled in my life. Upon entering the main office I was given a poor first impression. She didn’t greet me, and I had to initiate the conversation. I asked the woman if they take cards to which she replied with an attitude “we’ve never taken cards here.” When I entered the campground I was passing through, going the 5 mph speed limit, and a camper told me to SLOW DOWN. As I continued further down there was a large confederate flag hanging at a campsite. I was very upset and pulled over to the side and put my hazards on and an elderly man (an employee) came to me and stared at me for a while without speaking. We spoke but I had to initiate the conversation once again. As I reached my destination I was very upset and informed my family I wouldn’t be staying because of the discomfort I felt being there. As I was leaving THREE different people told me to slow down, even though i was going the speed limit. I hadn’t even had enough time to press the gas between the amount of times i was told to SLOW DOWN. After I left through the gates I was greeted by the same woman from the office who yelled at me to “SLOW DOWN, there are a lot of kids here and the speed limit is 5 mph....and that includes this area” (referring to the entrance of the campground) I gave her my coin that she gave me to get in and walked away, as soon as I got in my car she pulled out her walkie talkie and said “they’re leaving and not coming back” I felt belittled, harassed, and unwelcome. Last but not least, I would just like to say that I received excellent service from their employee Jeremy who helped me handle the situation and asked if I was upset and apologized for the situation. If they had any sense they would hire more people like him and fire the ones that plummet their reviews!!
