Red Run Resort & Campground Introduce

Red Run Resort & Campground offers a tranquil escape for those looking to experience the authentic charm of Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Nestled in New Holland, Pennsylvania, this resort is uniquely positioned among the rolling hills and meticulously kept farms of the local Amish and Mennonite communities. It is a place where the sound of modern life is often replaced by the gentle "clip-clop" of horse-drawn buggies passing by on nearby country roads. For Pennsylvania residents and travelers alike, Red Run provides a perfect balance of rustic outdoor living and the modern conveniences expected of a top-tier resort destination. Whether you are arriving in a large motorhome or seeking a cozy retreat in a lakeside cabin, the atmosphere here is one of peace, hospitality, and genuine community.

The campground is known for its scenic beauty, particularly the picturesque creek that meanders through the property and a well-stocked fishing lake that serves as the resort’s center. Guests often highlight the pristine nature of the grounds, which are carefully maintained to preserve the rural aesthetic of Lancaster County. One of the most charming aspects of a stay at Red Run is the connection to local traditions; it is not uncommon for local families to visit the grounds to sell homemade baked goods, such as the famous Pennsylvania Whoopie Pies, directly to campers. This blend of natural beauty and local culture makes Red Run Resort & Campground much more than just a place to stay; it is an immersive experience into one of the most unique regions in the United States.

Location and accessibility are major benefits for guests choosing Red Run. Situated at 877 Martin Church Rd, New Holland, PA 17557, the resort is easily reachable from major routes such as US-322 and SR-23. It serves as an ideal home base for exploring nearby attractions like the Shady Maple Smorgasbord, the Green Dragon Market, and the various outlet malls in Lancaster and Reading. The facility is committed to inclusivity, featuring a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking lot, and restrooms to ensure all guests can enjoy the property comfortably. The site layout is designed for easy navigation, offering a mix of shaded, wooded sites and open, grassy areas, with specific accommodations for drive-in accessibility and level gravel pads for stable RV setup.

  • Full RV hookup sites including potable water and 30-amp electric service (with ongoing upgrades to 50-amp).
  • Luxury cabin and tiny home rentals featuring private bathrooms, kitchenettes, and high-end finishes like king-sized beds and spa-style soaking tubs.
  • On-site General Store stocked with camping essentials, firewood, snacks, drinks, and fishing bait.
  • Complimentary honey wagon pump-out services or convenient sanitary dump stations for RV guests.
  • Clean and modern bathhouses with complimentary showering facilities and 24/7 coin-operated laundry.
  • Propane refill services available during regular camp store hours.
  • Secure on-site parking and free parking lots for visitors and additional vehicles.
  • High-speed Wi-Fi signals available in resort-style cabins and select areas of the park.

The features and highlights of Red Run Resort & Campground focus on family recreation and relaxation. A major draw for families is the swimming pool, which is open seasonally from May through September. For those who enjoy the water but prefer a more natural setting, the creek offers 40 waterfront sites where kids and dogs can splash around. The fishing lake is a "catch-and-release" paradise, packed with small fish perfect for teaching children the sport, as well as larger catfish, bass, and carp for more experienced anglers. The resort also emphasizes community through organized activities held at the central pavilion.

  • Seasonal heated swimming pool with a comfortable sun deck for summer relaxation.
  • Stocked catch-and-release fishing lake and additional fishing opportunities along the creek.
  • Newly built playground centrally located featuring swings, slides, and a basketball court.
  • A variety of planned community events including rubber ducky races, music trivia, and craft sessions.
  • Pet-friendly environment allowing up to two dogs per site or cabin (with a small cleaning fee for cabins).
  • Unique "egg gathering" experience where guests are welcome to visit the on-site chickens.
  • Themed activity weekends and community meals, such as traditional Amish Wedding Meals served in the pavilion.
  • Dedicated picnic areas and fire rings at every site for quintessential evening campfires.

For those interested in booking a stay or learning more about seasonal availability, the management team at Red Run is available to assist. While the resort offers an off-season for camping, the cabins are often available for winter getaways, providing a cozy atmosphere with electric fireplaces and full climate control. It is recommended to contact the office for specific seasonal hours and to secure reservations for popular summer weekends.

What is worth choosing when it comes to Red Run Resort & Campground? For many, the answer lies in the resort’s "glamping" options. The modern tiny homes and A-frame cabins are exceptional choices for those who want the serenity of a campground without sacrificing the luxury of a hotel. These units often come with "welcome treats" and provide stunning waterfront views from private decks, making them perfect for romantic retreats or peaceful solo resets. If you are an RV traveler, the creekside sites are the premier choice, offering the soothing sound of running water just steps from your door—a rare feature in many commercial parks.

Furthermore, the resort is worth choosing for its commitment to guest experience under its recent ownership. The staff is frequently praised for their responsiveness and hospitality, often going above and beyond to ensure accommodations are spotless and guest needs are met quickly. The peaceful atmosphere, free from the excessive noise of busier tourist hubs, ensures that you can truly "unplug" and enjoy the beauty of Pennsylvania. Whether you are fishing in the early morning mist or gathering fresh eggs for breakfast, Red Run Resort & Campground provides a high-quality, authentic experience that captures the heart of Lancaster County. My boyfriend and I stayed at a waterfront early January. The location is perfect, there is plenty to do and explore. The cabin we stayed in was clean and well kept with some firewood and treats when we arrived. Would definitely come here again in warmer months to try out the pool and other amenities!

We had the best time at Red Run with friends for a little getaway. We enjoyed a cold but incredible walk around the pond and got to see some Northern lights as we did! It was so beautiful! The cabin was cozy and perfect with windows overlooking the pond. We also could hear the peaceful clip clop of the horses going by. Thank you for your hospitality and the whoopie pies were delicious too.

We just wrapped up a fantastic family getaway at Red Run Camping and couldn’t be happier with our stay! From the moment we arrived, everything was just right. The Front Lake A-Frames were spotless and cozy perfect for our family to relax and unwind. The free fresh eggs were such an adorable and memorable touch; our kids loved checking daily to see if the hens had laid any. A simple joy, but one that made the stay feel extra special. The pool was great and the view was spectacular especially in the morning with a cup of coffee, enjoying the silence and the soothing sound of the fountain surrounded by nature. Truly peaceful!Firewood was included at check-in, and if we needed more, we could easily buy additional wood for $7 right at our campsite super convenient! The only suggestion we’d offer: adding a picnic table to each outer camp area would be a total bonus. It’d be a handy spot for outdoor meals and make the experience even cozier. 😊All in all, Red Run Camping gave us a warm, family-friendly escape with charming extras and wonderful service. We’ll absolutely be recommending this place to friends and we’ll be back ourselves! We already planned for it.
