Riverview Campsites Introduce

For outdoor enthusiasts and families across Pennsylvania, Riverview Campsites offers a quintessential escape into the rugged beauty of the Pennsylvania Wilds. Nestled in Benezette, famously known as the Elk Capital of Pennsylvania, this campground provides a serene and well-maintained environment where visitors can disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with nature. Whether you are an experienced RVer or a first-time tent camper, Riverview Campsites delivers an authentic mountain experience combined with the comfort of modern amenities. The property is family-owned and operated, which is reflected in the personalized care and attention to detail found throughout the grounds, from the meticulously kept bathhouses to the friendly assistance provided by the onsite hosts.

Location is the cornerstone of the Riverview experience. Situated at 2 Riverview Road in Benezette, the campground sits directly along the Bennett Branch of the Sinnamahoning Creek. This prime waterfront position allows guests to enjoy the soothing sounds of a "lazy river" right from their sites. Accessibility is a high priority for the management; the campground features a wheelchair-accessible parking lot and level terrain that makes navigating the area easy for all guests. For those traveling from across the Keystone State, the journey to Benezette is a scenic drive through some of Pennsylvania’s most impressive forest lands. Once you arrive, the layout is designed for convenience, with wide gravel paths and well-marked sites that accommodate everything from small pop-up trailers to large motorhomes. The proximity to the Elk Country Visitor Center—just a short six-mile drive—makes it an ideal basecamp for those hoping to witness the majestic elk herds that roam freely through the region.

When deciding where to pitch your tent or park your rig in Pennsylvania, Riverview Campsites is worth choosing for its rare balance of seclusion and convenience. Many campgrounds in the Benezette area can feel crowded during peak season, but Riverview is frequently described by local visitors as a "hidden gem" that remains peaceful and private. The owner, Andy, and the dedicated staff have created a culture of hospitality that makes every guest feel like a priority. The commitment to cleanliness is particularly noteworthy; in a region where rustic often means "neglected," the modern and well-ventilated shower house stands out as a luxury after a long day of hiking or fishing.

Furthermore, the specific policies of the campground reflect a deep understanding of the camping community's needs. The allowance of quiet generators (under 60 dB) ensures that those with medical needs or basic power requirements can camp safely without disturbing the tranquility of their neighbors. The "Buddy Sites" are a unique offering in the region, solving the common problem of trying to coordinate adjacent sites for large groups of friends or extended families. Choosing Riverview Campsites means choosing a front-row seat to the best of Pennsylvania’s wildlife and waterways, all while supported by top-tier facilities and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It is the perfect destination for those who want to experience the "PA Wilds" without sacrificing the essential comforts that make a vacation truly relaxing.

Beautifully kept campground. The lazy river was just that. Water clear enough to see every stone, current just right after a summer storm.Only thing on my wish list: “quiet” hours 10p - 8a. Most specifically generators, motors. This was my first visit, my friends’ third. We agreed next year we’ll scout the site reservations before setting up camp! After all, nature is to be shared 🧚

Shared a humid evening of tent camping with 4 other motorcyclists and two teens. Thankful for the view of the river as well as the cooling effect at night.Whereas I had no issue with the placement of porta potties across the driveway from our campsite, the main bathhouse was a bit of a walk without a landscaped path to get to. I ended up riding up a very rocky trail to take a shower and use the facilities.Only after I returned to camp did I learn that the bathroom water was not potable. Considering I boil my water for breakfast and coffee, I didn't see that as a problem. But, drinking water was only available from a hand pump further up the property from the bathhouse.I totally enjoyed a ride in a Polaris Side by Side with one of my buddies, having accepted the offer from Carmen, a long time friend of the campground owner. Definitely a highlight of our stay at Riverside Campsites!

Beautiful campground with wonderful customer care. Rachel went above and beyond to help us have a comfortable stay.My wife and I made a weekend visit to to get away and spend some time together, but we ended up at a tent site next to people we knew (making our stay a bit awkward). When I explained the situation to Rachel she helped us to find another spot to tent even though it was a busy weekend and the campground was full. Because of her flexibility we were able to have a wonderful time camping. We'll definitely visit this campsite again if we are in the area.

We love your campground, we have been there 2 years in a row. Other than the rain, our camping experiences have been great. Planning on coming back next year and bringing more family. I was allowed to bring my 2 dogs. They had a good time too. Last year there was a big Bull Elk strolling through the place ike he owned it. He even bugled for us off and on.
