We absolutely love the neighborhood and our neighbors. Hoffman homes can be very slimy and nickel and dime you. It seems like Hoffman homes at times likes to stir up trouble as everyone has a story of how they have been wronged by Hoffman homes. I really wish it was not the case because other than Hoffman homes sometimes causing trouble or not being completely honest Saratoga Village is honestly really nice. The people are great, the community is great, kids can ride their bikes, there is a small playground and it looks nicer than all the other parks and people take care of their property for the most part.
Having personal story, unfortunately bad neighbors. Maybe good for family, cause it's cheap option.
The mobil home park is nice; better esthetically than many in the area. I've been a resident for a number of years. Over those years I had to beg the management to remove hazardous trees, and create better drainage. Items were done after countless emails. The jobs are never done well. They dug up my lawn (a 35 foot long trench) to lay down power lines and never came back to replace grass, leaving piles or dirt. I offered to do the work for compensation for supplies but emails went unanswered. They just ground a stump from one of trees cut (over 2 years later) and left a mess of wood chips covering a substantial piece of my backyard. Im sure I will be responsible for cleaning their mess. They didn't even tell me they were coming as a courtesy. I understand I don't own the land, but I work hard to keep my property looking nice, something I think they'd want in a tenant. They spit on my efforts.Meanwhile, they will tell me to keep my lawn raked of leaves during the FALL(because they are nonstop in this season) serving violations for those with leaves on their lawn. Lastly, they poorly plow the roads during the winter, waiting til they are driven on and packed down.
I moved in 24 days ago, I had a couple of concerns a tree close to the porch, and a orange cord running through the back yard. I sent an e mail and I was acknowledged the very day. That is all I asked for. I rented places ( garden homes management) where my concerns were not addressed. I appreciate the acknowledgement from Hoffman homes.
Just read the other reviews. They are 100% true. Especially ones pertaining to management and Janik. This company and their employees are all about money. Evil was correct from the other person's post. They are corrupt, breach contracts, and commit fraud. Please don't waste your hard earned money buying a place here. I've never been treated so awful in my life. They have everyone from attorneys to the town building inspector, all the way to the judge in their pockets. You will be harassed nonstop for issues, scapegoating, and then repeatedly charged "fees" that have no explanation. They charge process server fees to have unnecessary pprwk served to you by a very unprofessional, rude man, Al Janik(also referenced in a separate review) to virtually make it impossible to keep up with resulting in eviction so they can turn around and sell your home for 3 times the amount it's worth and make a double profit from your home. Hoffman Homes is their LLC and own over 10 parks, so PLEASE do a lot of research if you are buying a mobile home, to make sure it's not one of the multimillion dollar properties they own. Lastly, you will pay about $2,000 a year on taxes bc they use loopholes by using the terms "lease" and say it's H.O.A. fees. Worst mistake of my life, let alone working so hard to only get screwed over and lied to by Alec Wright(their salesman and rep/retailer for the mobile home company).
