Skyline RV Camp - Waterfront Introduce
Skyline RV Camp - Waterfront offers a truly unique experience for travelers and local New Yorkers alike, providing the rare opportunity to camp with an RV right in the heart of the city. Located in the vibrant neighborhood of Greenpoint, Brooklyn, this site serves as a gateway for those who want to explore the cultural and historical riches of the Big City while maintaining the comfort and privacy of their own mobile living space. It is a one-of-a-kind urban campground that combines the grit and energy of Brooklyn with the tranquil, sweeping views of the East River and the iconic Manhattan skyline.
For visitors navigating the bustling streets of New York, Skyline RV Camp provides a safe haven that is much more than just a parking lot. It is a community-oriented space that welcomes a diverse crowd and prides itself on being an inclusive environment. Whether you are a full-time RVer passing through the Northeast or a local looking for a unique "staycation" with a view that rivals the most expensive hotels in the city, this waterfront camp offers a perspective of New York that few ever get to see from their own front door. The combination of industrial charm and natural riverfront beauty makes every stay here memorable.
Location and accessibility are the primary highlights of Skyline RV Camp. Situated at 1 Noble Street, Brooklyn, NY 11222, the camp is perfectly positioned for those who want to dive into the trendy yet relaxed atmosphere of Greenpoint and neighboring Williamsburg. Accessibility is a priority here, featuring wheelchair-accessible entrances, restrooms, and seating areas, ensuring that all guests can enjoy the facilities comfortably. The site is also equipped with a wheelchair-accessible parking lot, making the transition from vehicle to campsite seamless for everyone.
Getting around from the camp is remarkably easy, even without a car. The Greenpoint Ferry terminal is just a short walk away, offering a scenic boat ride directly to Midtown or Wall Street. For those who prefer the subway, the G train is nearby, providing quick access to the rest of Brooklyn and Queens, with easy transfers to Manhattan-bound lines. Local residents often recommend using "trucker" navigation apps when driving an RV into this part of Brooklyn to avoid low bridges and restricted parkways, ensuring a stress-free arrival at the waterfront gates.

What is worth choosing about Skyline RV Camp - Waterfront is the unparalleled combination of convenience and scenery. While traditional hotels in New York can be prohibitively expensive and lack the space for travelers with large vehicles, this camp offers an affordable and adventurous alternative. You are essentially staying in a million-dollar location for a fraction of the cost, with the added benefit of having your own kitchen, bed, and belongings right there with you. The hospitality of the hosts, like the well-regarded Frank, adds a personal touch that is often missing from large corporate resorts.
The community vibe of the park is another significant draw. Because it is one of the only RV-specific spots in New York City, you will often meet fellow travelers from all over the world who share a passion for the road and the city. The safety and cleanliness of the site, combined with the ease of access to Manhattan, make it the "gold standard" for urban RVing. If you want the true New York experience—complete with morning walks along the East River and evenings watching the sunset over the skyscrapers—Skyline RV Camp - Waterfront is the absolute best choice for your next trip to the Empire State.
Ultimately, choosing this camp means choosing flexibility. Whether you want to spend your days visiting the Museum of Modern Art or simply sitting by the water with a book while your dog rests at your feet, the camp provides the perfect home base. It bridges the gap between the nomadic RV lifestyle and the high-energy pulse of Brooklyn, proving that you really can have the best of both worlds in the city that never sleeps.

Customer Reviews
We had an excellent stay at Skyline RV Camp! Since it was winter, the campground was quiet with just us and one other RVer, which made for a peaceful and relaxing experience. Our host, Frank, was absolutely awesome. He was incredibly generous and accommodating, even allowing us to stay past our checkout time without any penalty or hassle because the campground wasn’t booked. That kind of flexibility and kindness really made our stay stand out.If you’re looking for a calm, welcoming RV spot with a host who truly cares about his guests, Skyline RV Camp is the place. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it to others!PS the waterfront view is amazing and gives a wonderful view of the big city!
We recently stayed here and wanted to share some constructive feedback. The property itself is very nice, quiet, and well maintained, and we truly enjoyed that aspect of our visit.Unfortunately, communication during our stay was lacking. I reached out to both the phone number and email listed on the night of our reservation but did not receive a response. When we arrived, our assigned spot had effectively been overtaken by the two neighboring sites. We were able to squeeze in, but only barely, and had to park much farther from the building than expected. Because of this, we were unable to fully use our slide-outs, which was one of the main reasons we chose this location. What was most disappointing was the lack of any on-site support or response. Even a quick call, text, or email letting us know there were other available sites that weren’t sold would have been an easy fix and would have made a big difference.Overall, I enjoyed the property itself, but I wasn’t fully satisfied with our stay due to the lack of responsiveness and assistance during our visit. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests
1. Amazing Views• The waterfront location has “spectacular” views of the Manhattan skyline. • Many guests call it a “true gem” because of how uniquely it lets you camp in NYC. 2. Great Location / Access to NYC• Very walkable: ~4 blocks from the G-train (Greenpoint Ave) to reach the subway. • Close to the East River ferry stop: good transit option into Manhattan. • Because of the location, you can explore Brooklyn and Manhattan easily. A reviewer said they covered Greenpoint, Williamsburg, SoHo, etc. 3. Safety & Security• The lot is private and monitored 24/7 by security in an adjacent building. • Several reviews say they “felt very safe” staying there, even at night. 4. Basic Amenities• Electrical hookups (30 / 50 amp) are provided. • Free WiFi is available. • Bathrooms and showers are present. According to a guest: “On-site bathrooms were warm and clean.” • Pets allowed. 5. Host / Management• The host (Alex) is often praised: “always right there when you need him … made us feel very safe.” • According to some guest testimonials, parking and hookups “were a breeze.”Drawbacks & Criticisms1. Limited Facilities• According to Pitchup reviews, the toilets and showers are not very well-maintained:“No Möglichkeit den Tank zu leeren … die Duschen sowie Toiletten … extrem schmutzig” (“no way to dump tanks … showers and toilets … extremely dirty”) • Some reviews point out that the portable showers have broken holders and lack shelving/hooks for towels and clothes. 2. No Sewage Dump Station• There is no dump station (i.e., you can’t empty your RV’s waste tank on site). • This means for multi-day stays, managing grey / black water is a challenge.3. Water Limitations• There’s a water refill station, but no continuous water hookup for individual RVs. • During winter months (Dec, Jan, Feb) water is not available at the refill station.
This place is a hidden gem! I have stayed at both the waterfront and non-waterfront sites. The view at the waterfront is incredible! My most recent stayed was at the non-waterfront area at 50 Noble Street. We set up our tent between a homemade pickle store and a ninja park. The location was perfect and we were still able to walk across the street and enjoy the waterfront. Both sites have easy access to both the ferry as well as the subway. Plenty of food options nearby.
Our stay at Skyline RV was extremely disappointing. The listing is completely misleading. The bathrooms did not work, and there is no shower available at all. After contacting the host, another camper informed us that guests have no actual access to the bathrooms or showers despite what the description claims. The property is also not “gated” in any meaningful way—the gate stays wide open at all times. Overall, the site felt unsanitary, unsafe, and nothing like what was advertised. I would not recommend staying here. DONT DO IT, you have been warned!
