Metropolitan Reserve Manufactured Home Community Introduce

Finding a balanced residential life in the heart of Northern New Jersey often requires a compromise between city proximity and suburban tranquility. Metropolitan Reserve Manufactured Home Community, located in the quiet borough of Moonachie, stands as a notable option for those seeking an alternative to high-density apartment living. This manufactured home community is designed to provide residents with a sense of homeownership and community within the bustling Bergen County landscape. Known for its all-age welcoming atmosphere, the community serves as a bridge for families and individuals who want to stay close to the economic pulse of New York City while maintaining a more relaxed, neighborhood-centric lifestyle.

The community is managed with a focus on providing contemporary manufactured housing solutions. In a region where real estate prices are among the highest in the country, Metropolitan Reserve offers a pathway to residential stability. The park is characterized by its organized layout, with streets like Austin Street and Metro Avenue creating a structured environment. While the community has faced challenges in the past—most notably during the historic impact of Hurricane Sandy—it has continued to serve as a primary residential site for many long-term New Jersey residents. For local users, it represents a unique pocket of the Meadowlands region where the convenience of urban access meets the practical benefits of manufactured home living.

Location and Accessibility

Metropolitan Reserve is situated at 103 Moonachie Ave, Moonachie, NJ 07074, USA. Its location is perhaps its strongest asset for New Jersey professionals and families. Moonachie is strategically positioned just 13 miles from Midtown Manhattan, making the community a prime choice for commuters. The borough is surrounded by major transportation hubs and arteries, including the New Jersey Turnpike, Route 17, and Route 46. This ensures that whether you are traveling south toward Newark or north toward the Tappan Zee Bridge, you are well-positioned for a smooth journey.

Accessibility within the park itself is a priority. The community features a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible parking lot, ensuring that residents and visitors with mobility needs can navigate the grounds with ease. Furthermore, the community is well-served by local New Jersey Transit bus routes, such as the 144, 161, and 164, which provide direct links to the Port Authority Bus Terminal and other regional transit centers. This high level of connectivity allows residents to enjoy the world-class dining, shopping, and entertainment of New York City and the American Dream mall while returning home to a quieter, residential setting.

  • Professional Management: On-site management staff are available during business hours to oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the community.

Owners/management is unprofessional, lazy, unrepresentative. No one knows what day it is or what their job title is. It takes over 30 days to hear back on an application. I still haven’t heard back. We’re cash buyers.. so it really doesn’t make sense. Owners/management meddle with transactions and try to steer buyers in other directions. Save your time. And energy.

My now ex wife. We lived there and ownership of our home on 19 Austin St. Paid all our bills on time every month. We lost our home during hurricane sandy. We had Allstate insurance for water and storm damage. So Allstate came out and declared the home a loss. 7 feet of water on the street and 4 feet of it was in the house. So with a lot of fighting back and with Allstate they paid us. But in the end we had to contact a company that removes mobile homesSo we did paid them 1800.00 to do the job. Home was never removed the title was transferred from use to the moving company than they sold the mobile home to the community and was fixed up and resold.

I spent half my life growing up here and never really had any serious complaints. That is up until January of this year (2022). I used their laundry machines and was met with an issue. One of their machines was out of order. There were no signs, nothing was blocked off, no real deterrents to signal me to not use said machine. Unfortunately after closing the machine and finding out it was not working (due to the fact it didn’t light up after the first quarter) I attempted to get my clothes out, but the machine was stuck. I went over to the office and was made to wait 3 hours. I received no response other than that I’d have to wait. Naturally I waited and continued to wait and eventually the office closed and I was left with no solution. In The Coming Weeks I continued to ask for help and was met with a similar response. Which was that I would be updated on the progress via phone number or email at the end of the day. Not once did I receive any message of any kind in regards to this issue (mind you I gave them my email, number and they had my address which is literally a block away from the office). Eventually I had to go out of my way to purchase new clothes (for work) which was a big issue on me due to the fact I was in a tough place financially, thus setting me back quite a bit. This started January 13th 2022, which was just about 3 months ago. I was notified yesterday that my clothes had been busted out of the machine 3 weeks ago (over two months into waiting) and it was only due to the fact I called in once again to see if they’d received my emails. Having 3 methods to reach me I assumed they’d contact me, but had to find out 3 weeks later because I called; just to be told they had no idea where my clothes might be. I’m appalled at the time it took to receive even a reply back to me about this and the fact I will never see what is probably 80% of my moldy clothes rotting away in a dumpster somewhere. This place means a lot to me and it hurts me to leave a rating like this, but the circumstances are beyond wild. I hope with this review they’ll finally contact me and help settle this issue.

I've lived here for over 10 years, and have no complaints. The best thing they did was to get rid of Janet, Billy, and their gang of thieves! Paula is doing an excellent job.
