Strawberry Village Introduce

For Marylanders seeking a reprieve from the fast-paced urban corridors of Baltimore or the D.C. suburbs, the Eastern Shore offers a refreshing change of pace. Nestled in the heart of Wicomico County, Strawberry Village is a premier mobile home park that embodies the quiet, rural charm of Pittsville, Maryland. Known among locals as a hidden gem, this community provides an affordable and high-quality residential option for those who want to own their home while enjoying a meticulously maintained neighborhood. Whether you are looking for a permanent residence or a low-maintenance home near the coast, Strawberry Village offers a welcoming environment where community and safety are top priorities.

The philosophy at Strawberry Village is centered on providing "our home, our community." As a locally owned and operated establishment, the park takes a personal interest in the property and its residents. This is a place where neighbors know each other by name and where the management is deeply invested in the long-term well-being of the landscape. For many Maryland residents, Strawberry Village represents the ideal balance: it is quiet enough to feel like a retreat, yet modern enough to provide all the essential infrastructure required for comfortable, contemporary living.

Located at the intersection of Route 50 and White Richardson Road in Pittsville, MD 21850, Strawberry Village boasts a strategic location on the Delmarva Peninsula. For commuters or weekend explorers, being "just off Route 50" means you are perfectly positioned between the region’s major hubs. Residents enjoy a short 12-mile drive west to the city of Salisbury for extensive shopping, specialized healthcare at TidalHealth, and cultural attractions. Conversely, a 20-mile drive east brings you directly to the Atlantic Ocean and the vibrant boardwalk of Ocean City, making it possible to enjoy the beach on a whim.

Accessibility is a standout feature for this community. Pittsville itself is a balanced market that offers a suburban-rural mix feel. For residents, this means having easy access to local amenities like the Pittsville Diner or the nearby Pittsville Park, while still being able to retreat to the quiet, shaded streets of the village. The community is also served by the Wicomico County Public Schools system, with schools like Pittsville Elementary and Middle School located just over a mile away, making it a convenient spot for families.

Strawberry Village is recognized for its "well-manicured" appearance and a suite of services designed to simplify the lives of its residents. The administrative team, led by Mrs. Richardson and her dedicated staff, ensures that the park functions with professional efficiency. The services offered at Strawberry Village include:

  • Professional on-site management and administrative staff who oversee all residency applications and park maintenance.
  • Central water and sewer systems, providing reliable and standardized utility infrastructure for every lot.
  • Optional lawn services to help residents maintain the aesthetic standards of the community without the personal labor.
  • Standardized lot rent that covers essential community upkeep and ensures the long-term stability of the neighborhood.
  • Street lighting throughout the community to enhance safety and visibility for evening walks.
  • Cable TV services available to all homes, ensuring residents stay connected to news and entertainment.
  • Rigorous background and credit screening for all potential residents to maintain the peaceful and secure nature of the community.

The highlights of living in Strawberry Village extend beyond the four walls of the homes. The park is designed to feel like a traditional subdivision, with features that encourage outdoor activity and a sense of pride in ownership. Key features include:

  • Spacious, cleared lots that offer plenty of room for gardening, outdoor relaxation, or private driveways.
  • Off-street parking and paved driveways for every home, reducing street congestion and improving the neighborhood's visual appeal.
  • Dedicated sidewalks that wind through the community, perfect for morning exercise or walking pets.
  • A variety of home types, including two, three, and four-bedroom manufactured homes with modern features like luxury vinyl plank flooring and forced-air heating.
  • Community-wide events, such as the annual Christmas decoration and lighting contest, which fosters a festive and competitive spirit among neighbors.
  • High safety ratings, as Pittsville is frequently cited as one of the safest towns in Maryland with low property crime rates.
  • Close proximity to regional attractions like the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art and Arthur W. Perdue Stadium.

Prospective residents or those looking to learn more about existing homes for sale can reach the administrative office during their standard business hours. The team is known for being helpful and going "above and beyond" to assist with the application process. Contact information for Strawberry Village is as follows:

When evaluating the various housing options on the Eastern Shore, Strawberry Village is worth choosing because of its unique commitment to resident satisfaction and community standards. Many residents have called this park home for over a decade, often citing the "peaceful and quiet" atmosphere as the primary reason for their stay. For those moving from busier Maryland cities like Baltimore, the silence of a Pittsville night is a luxury in itself. The management’s willingness to work with residents—exemplified by their fair approach to credit reviews and background checks—makes it an accessible community for those who are serious about maintaining a nice neighborhood.

Furthermore, the financial benefit of choosing Strawberry Village cannot be overstated. In a housing market where traditional home prices are rising, owning a manufactured home in a well-managed park allows residents to build equity while keeping monthly costs low. The "cleanest and nicest" reputation of the park ensures that your investment is protected by a management team that refuses to let the property decline. If you are looking for a safe, friendly, and affordable place to settle down in Wicomico County, Strawberry Village is a choice that offers both peace of mind and a high quality of life.

In conclusion, Strawberry Village stands as a testament to what a well-run mobile home park should be. By combining professional management with a personal, local touch, it has created a sanctuary for Marylanders seeking the best of the Eastern Shore. With its proximity to the beach, its commitment to safety, and its beautifully maintained grounds, it is no wonder that current residents highly recommend grabbing a space here as soon as one becomes available.

I have lived here for over two years. Pete Richardson was the only person that actually read my letter about my credit and approved me. Now he is gone but Mrs. Richardson and her staff kept this park as nice as before. I would highly recommend living here. I have nothing bad to say about Strawberry Village.

Strawberry Village I would say the same as before. It's a bit too quiet as I am from Baltimore. If you are looking for a park and they have space here STOP and grab it. You will not find anything better. I'm staying here till the end!
