For Pennsylvania residents looking to immerse themselves in the heart of Amish Country, Thousand Trails Circle M stands as a flagship destination for outdoor recreation and family bonding. Located in Lancaster County, this western-themed campground is one of the region's largest and most comprehensive camping resorts. It offers a unique blend of rustic charm and resort-style amenities, positioned along the winding banks of the Conestoga River. Whether you are a local Lancaster resident seeking a weekend escape or a traveler exploring the Pennsylvania Dutch Country, Circle M provides a lively yet relaxing atmosphere that caters to every type of camper.
The campground is widely recognized for its "western theme," which sets a playful and adventurous tone for guests as soon as they pass through the gated entrance. This destination is more than just a place to park an RV; it is a full-scale recreation center that combines traditional camping with modern luxuries. Guests often remark on the welcoming demeanor of the staff and the meticulously maintained grounds, which feature a mix of manicured buildings and natural riverside beauty. With its expansive layout, Thousand Trails Circle M manages to provide both high-energy communal activities and quiet, serene spots for those who simply want to listen to the river flow by.
Conveniently situated at 2111 Millersville Rd in Lancaster, PA 17603, Thousand Trails Circle M is exceptionally accessible for Pennsylvanians. It is located just minutes away from the city of Lancaster and the historic village of Millersville. For those traveling from larger metropolitan areas, it is approximately a 30-minute drive from York, 40 minutes from Reading, and just over an hour from Philadelphia or Harrisburg. Accessibility within the park itself is a priority. Most of the main roads within the campground are paved and well-maintained, facilitating easy movement for large RV rigs and family vehicles. What makes Thousand Trails Circle M worth choosing is its ability to serve as both a quiet retreat and a vibrant family hub. For those who value a "true resort" feel, the gated access, manicured landscapes, and organized activities like the Saturday night golf cart parades offer a level of engagement rarely found in standard campgrounds. The riverside sites are particularly prized; waking up to a view of the water with your morning coffee is a highlight for many returning guests. The proximity to the Conestoga River allows for a "lazy river" experience where families can spend hours floating and enjoying the natural scenery.
Furthermore, the park is an excellent choice for parents. The combination of the indoor pool—which is a lifesaver on rainy days—and the variety of kid-friendly hikes and playgrounds ensures that children are entertained regardless of the weather. Reviewers frequently give "shout-outs" to the friendly staff members who go out of their way to treat guests like family, creating a welcoming community vibe. When you factor in the convenience of being just minutes from major outlet shopping and hearty Lancaster cuisine, Circle M emerges as the ideal home base for a comprehensive Pennsylvania Dutch Country vacation. Choosing Circle M means choosing a stay where the facilities are as impressive as the surrounding countryside, ensuring a memorable getaway for campers of all ages.

Customer Reviews
We are thrilled with Circle M!Love the site, right on the river with water & electric. Great walking, among the amenities and campsites or (my fav) along the river that winds around the whole campground.Outstanding customer service! They have been exceedingly nice, accommodating our campsite needs/wants beautifully & very professionally. We have not dealt with- or seen- a single employee/staff member who was not wonderful.Amenities are also good, with organized activities available, as well as mini golf, basketball, indoor and outdoor pools & more. The grounds are also well maintained 🤗We will definitely be back, probably more than once a year!
I am enjoying my stay at Circle M campground. Shout-out to Nikki and Jill for they're kindness and welcoming demeanour. My site is very comfortable and has a quiet atmosphere. I recommend this campground to anyone with kids or whoever just wants to have a nice getaway vacation! And another shout-out to the cleaning crew as well, they did an excellent job on the bathrooms and cabins. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five stars!!!!
First time staying at this particular camp ground, in fact, first time staying at a Thousand Trails destination. As a member, I have to question whether "membership" is actually worth the cost, when getting tossed on a crappy site. As far as amenities go, there are tons of things for people and kids to do. The only 1 we tried was the mini golf, as we had things we wanted to do in the surrounding area, so I can't comment on cleanliness of pool's, spa, etc. Bathrooms, left something to be desired. I don't want this review to be particularly negative, but I've stayed in State Parks with cleaner bathrooms and better sites.
This place has very friendly staff!!! The grounds are nice and a lot to do with kids. Pool is clean the hot tub is HOT and I loved it. The bathrooms in pool area are just ok. Water pressure sucked. They were clean. The sites are fine nothing to really complain about. NOW THE CRAZY…our water stopped the last night we were there. No one around to seek help and no emergency number, but we were not in any emergency yet. Next morning woke up to a massive SINK HOLE INCHES FROM RV. I got wife moving and we left. Since no one was there and no emergency number we left to next destination way earlier than we wanted to. There has been ZERO FOLLOW UP from the park to us to check on us or just say sorry that happened. We know things can happen but a call would have been nice. Overall a very decent campground and close to the Amish community.
Great Thousand Trails! We had a nicely shaded site. Mini golf was in excellent condition. Pool excellent. Basketball perfect. Pickelball perfect!Only iffy: Clubhouse hours and the kids who didn’t have their parents around were sometimes trouble. But overall, we loved this campground!!!
