Thousand Trails Timothy Lake North Introduce
For residents of Pennsylvania, the Pocono Mountains represent more than just a geographic region; they are a cherished destination for adventure and seasonal retreats. Thousand Trails Timothy Lake North, located in East Stroudsburg, serves as a primary hub for those looking to immerse themselves in this famous landscape. As a seasonal campground that typically opens its gates from May through October, Timothy Lake North offers a wooded, peaceful setting that contrasts with the bustling energy of the nearby urban centers. Whether you are a member of the Thousand Trails network or a guest looking for a quiet weekend away, the park provides a classic Pennsylvania camping experience characterized by tall trees and fresh mountain air.
Timothy Lake North is part of a dual-resort system, often working in tandem with its sister property, Timothy Lake South, which is located just about a mile away. This partnership is a significant advantage for campers, as guests at the North park often enjoy access to the amenities at both locations. While the North park is known for its more rustic and tranquil vibe, it still maintains the professional standards expected of a large-scale RV resort. It caters to a wide variety of campers, from those in heavy-duty Class A motorhomes to families looking for a traditional tenting spot under the stars. The park's atmosphere is designed to foster a sense of community, where seasonal regulars and weekend travelers alike can find a slice of the Poconos to call their own.

What is Worth Choosing
Thousand Trails Timothy Lake North is particularly worth choosing for travelers who value a quiet, wooded atmosphere but still want the peace of mind that comes with a managed resort. One of the best reasons to choose this location is the "twice the fun" policy; a stay here essentially gives you access to the infrastructure of two campgrounds for the price of one. If the North park feels too quiet, the more active South park is just a minute's drive away, offering additional rentals and amenities.
For the New York and Pennsylvania local, it is also worth choosing for its strategic proximity to the Delaware Water Gap. If you are an avid hiker or kayaker, you cannot find a more convenient base camp that allows you to hit the trails early in the morning and return to a full-hookup site by evening. While the park is rustic and emphasizes a natural setting, the availability of 50-amp service at many sites makes it a reliable choice for those with larger travel trailers or fifth wheels. For families looking for a seasonal "home away from home" in the heart of the Poconos, Timothy Lake North offers the space, the security, and the community spirit that makes for a truly memorable camping season.

Timothy lake downfall began when they bussed in urban youth for the weekend .the youth were stealing n destroying anything and had no control. This was my favorite place to camp all year round in the 1990s. After too many issues I changed to Circle M campground.
We’ve been coming here for three yrs it’s always a nice quiet place during the week. This go round I was not pleased about the assigned spots, ( they pick it) the first spot they assigned us was NO way for us to fit, and looked as if it was never used as a camp site. I called they gave us two other options one being in the front which was a no go since the park is close and we didn’t wanna hear kids early in the morning the second was in the middle of other campers which wasn’t bad just not what we pick when we come here. We usually pick an end spot that’s quiet and alone. Go back to picking your own spot or at least have the options of allowing us to pick our spot upon booking. I can’t say anything bad the bath houses as we have a travel trailer. The pool is being repaired atm, the grounds where we camp are clean, could use some mowing and trimming but all in all I like it here however not so sure if we will come back if the spot selection don’t change. If it’s a thousand trails change then that may affect our renewal of our membership.Update 5 other campers weren’t happy with the assigned spots either two of them had to move 3 times due to no water no room or no electricity. Really hope this changes asap. I’ll be calling a head prior to booking to check because I won’t drive 3plus hrs to not enjoy my down time nor continue to pay for something (assigned spot) that I don’t want.
The pool is out of service, the men’s bathhouse, very dirty, one of the toilets has been clogged for weeks. No one is cleaning the bathhouses. They put so much money into updating the bathhouse and they aren’t keeping them clean. What really drives me crazy the bath house door hasn’t had a door closer on it for years. The doors always open bugs like crazy. Very poor up keep by the staff.
I love Timothy Lake North such a great campground. I was disappointed the pool was not open and the showers were ice cold in the bath house. I will be back though.
Enjoyed our stay here for the most part. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the store is really quaint and cute. Bathrooms were clean, lake had some good fishing.Other than that, we just wish a little more care was put into some of the common areas like the golf course and pool. Golf course is really dilapidated and you can tell hasn’t been maintained in quite some time. Piles of rocks, leaves, gravel and debris everywhere making it impossible to play. I can’t imagine it’d be a major task to get out there with a leaf blower from time to time.Pool is really cute, but again, falling apart. Bottom is peeling and rough. Bricks around the pool are broken. We found a decent site for our RV, but the campground is mostly seasonals and the majority of the transient spots are tiny or have the electric and sewer on the wrong side. Took us a bit to find one to fit us adequately.
