Berry's Grove Campground Introduce
Berry's Grove Campground is a hidden gem for outdoor enthusiasts in Massachusetts, offering a serene and well-maintained environment right on the shores of Lake Mascuppic. Located on the border of Massachusetts and New Hampshire, this campground provides a unique opportunity for year-round RV living and seasonal getaways. For local residents in the Merrimack Valley and beyond, it serves as a peaceful sanctuary that feels miles away from the city, yet remains conveniently close to major metropolitan hubs. The property is characterized by its intimate scale, featuring 24 clean and quiet sites that prioritize a relaxing atmosphere over the crowded, high-traffic nature of larger commercial resorts.
The campground is part of the Happy Grounds family of parks, which is known for fostering a welcoming community spirit. Because the facility is open throughout the year, it is a rare find in the New England region, where many parks close their gates after the autumn foliage peaks. Guests at Berry's Grove can enjoy the changing seasons of Massachusetts, from the vibrant colors of fall reflecting off the lake to the quiet beauty of a snow-covered landscape. The management emphasizes a "neighborly" vibe, where staff members are frequently seen greeting campers and ensuring the grounds remain in pristine condition for both short-term visitors and long-term seasonal residents.
Location and accessibility are standout features for those choosing Berry's Grove. Situated at 35 Davis Street in Tyngsborough, the campground is remarkably easy to reach for travelers throughout the state. It is positioned just 15 minutes from the tax-free shopping and amenities of Nashua, New Hampshire, and is approximately 45 minutes from the heart of Boston. This strategic location makes it an ideal "basecamp" for those who want to explore the history of Lowell and Lexington or attend events in the city while returning to a quiet, lakeside retreat at night. The park is easily accessible for large vehicles, and its layout is designed to be navigable for all types of travelers.
Accessibility within the park is a priority, ensuring that all guests can enjoy the waterfront experience. The campground features a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a dedicated wheelchair-accessible parking lot. The primary community areas are designed to be inclusive, allowing everyone to reach the private dock and swimming area safely. Additionally, the park's proximity to town amenities means that essential stores and services are only a five-minute drive away, providing a perfect balance between rustic lakeside living and modern convenience. Whether arriving by road or by water, as the park offers boat-in access, the transition into the grounds is seamless and professional.
- Full-service RV camping sites equipped with town water, sewer, and upgraded electrical hookups (30 and 50 amp available).
- High-speed Wi-Fi access throughout the grounds, suitable for streaming or keeping in touch with family while on the road.
- Year-round operation, providing a stable housing option for the transient workforce or those seeking winter lakeside camping.
- Private boat slips and a boat launch on Lake Mascuppic, exclusively for the use of registered campground guests.
- On-site laundry facilities that are kept clean and well-maintained for guest convenience during extended stays.
- Professional on-site management and video monitoring for enhanced safety and security of all campers and their property.
- Trash disposal and recycling services to help maintain the ecological health of the lakeside environment.
- Pet-friendly policies that welcome dogs, provided they are leashed and their owners adhere to community cleanliness guidelines.
The highlights of Berry's Grove Campground center on its direct connection to Lake Mascuppic, a 209-acre body of water known for its exceptional recreational opportunities. The private dock and designated swimming area allow families to spend no-planning-needed afternoons in the water. For those who enjoy angling, the lake is celebrated for "great fishing," particularly for bass and perch. The campground also hosts seasonal events such as "Harvest by the Lake," which features guided nature walks through the surrounding woods and communal bonfire evenings where families can gather to roast marshmallows and share stories under the stars.
- Private beach access and a roped-off swimming area that provide a safe and relaxing environment for children and adults.
- Exceptional fishing opportunities directly from the shore or from the private community dock.
- A bonfire circle that serves as the heart of the community, perfect for evening gatherings and traditional camping fun.
- Abundant local wildlife and mature trees that provide plenty of shade and a sense of immersion in nature.
- Proximity to the Lowell-Dracut-Tyngsborough State Forest, offering miles of additional hiking and biking trails nearby.
- A kid-friendly atmosphere with plenty of open space for outdoor play and seasonal nature-based activities.
- Convenient on-site grilling areas for preparing classic lakeside meals with family and friends.
For those interested in booking a site or inquiring about seasonal availability, the management team can be reached through several channels. Given the park's small size and high demand for seasonal slots, it is recommended to call ahead or check their online portal for current rates and reservation policies. The office is known for its hospitality and is happy to help first-time campers navigate the requirements for full-hookup sites or provide information on local boat registration for those bringing their own watercraft.

What is worth choosing at Berry's Grove Campground is the peace of mind that comes with staying at a smaller, more personalized facility. In a state where many campgrounds feel like bustling small cities, Berry's Grove offers a return to the quiet, lakeside simplicity that many associate with classic New England summers. The fact that the sites are connected to town water and sewer—rather than relying on holding tanks or communal bathhouses—elevates the comfort of the stay significantly, making it feel more like a lakeside vacation home than a temporary campsite.
Choosing this park is also worth it for its versatility. It is one of the few places in Massachusetts where you can truly experience "year-round Boston basecamp" living. Whether you are a local resident looking for a seasonal spot to dock your boat and enjoy the summer, or a traveler needing a winter-proof RV site with reliable utilities, Berry's Grove delivers a high-quality experience. The combination of its stunning lake views, modern amenities like Wi-Fi and upgraded electric, and the friendly, watchful eyes of the staff makes it a premier choice for those who value safety, quiet, and the natural beauty of the Tyngsborough landscape.

We had a great stay at Berry’s Grove Campground! The grounds were clean and peaceful, and the staff was so friendly and helpful the entire time. It’s a relaxing place to unwind and enjoy the outdoors — we’ll definitely be back.
Very quiet and peaceful campground. Stores are only 5 minutes away. The lake is beautiful and the staff is amazing.
The Electric was to high you didn't dare go into the lake and the most Important part don't pay them 5 or 7 months ahead there is NO REFUND IF you leave And having 2 Washer and 2 Dryer doesn't help
Fyi long term sites only. Can’t stay there for less than a month, if I’m not mistaken.
Berry’s Grove is a quiet campground on a beautiful lake. The hosts are knowledgeable and helpful. As a traveling nurse, and an older woman, I felt perfectly safe. It is well situated close to main roads and expressways, but tucked at the end of the road behind a quiet neighborhood.
