What makes Boheme Retreats worth choosing for your next New York outdoor excursion is the perfect balance it strikes between the "rugged touch" of traditional camping and the "well thought out" comforts of a professional glamping site. In a region where many campgrounds can feel overcrowded or outdated, Boheme Retreats stands out with its curated, small-scale approach. Each camper is spaced to allow for privacy, yet the community feel remains strong, especially around the shared lobby and fire pits.
For the modern traveler, the attention to detail is a significant draw. Guests often remark on the "little amenities" like stocked teas and coffees, high-quality linens, and the fact that you don't have to worry about the "hassle of pitching tents." This makes it an ideal choice for those who want to experience the healing power of the Catskills—waking up to the sound of the creek and the birds—without the discomfort of sleeping on the hard ground. The addition of a sauna room provides a touch of luxury that elevates the experience from a simple stay to a true wellness retreat.
Furthermore, the spirit of the place is genuinely inspiring. Choosing Boheme Retreats means supporting a purpose-driven business that is actively working to change the narrative of who gets to feel at home in nature. The campers themselves, lovingly renovated by the founders, carry a sense of history and care that mass-produced lodging simply cannot replicate. Whether you are fishing in the Willowemoc, hiking the nearby trails, or simply curling up with a book in a 1970s Dutchcraft trailer, Boheme Retreats offers a level of character and tranquility that makes it one of the most unique and worthwhile destinations in the New York region. Campers are clean and well thought out with many little amenities you need to be comfortable. The addition of a little sauna room and a large lobby dining area, enhance the experience of feeling cared for at Boheme Retreat.Keep in mind you’re camping and not at a hotel or spa. So there is still that rugged touch that keeps the camping vibes alive.😊
Boheme Retreats is just that, an awesome, amazing escape from the hustle and bustle of the 9-5 (or the work from home) grind. Hiking trails, tubes, fishing, scores of tiny villages to explore, provide experiences to enjoy. Each campsite has a fully renovated vintage RV (1980 or older) that comes fully stocked coffee, teas, linen, and utensils for an extended weekend.
Boheme Retreat is a fantastic auto camp spot with a retro vibe. The camper was equipped with portable AC and a space heater, made our stay comfortable. All the necessary kitchen equipments were inside, making meal preparation a breeze. Our pup absolutely loved it, and we appreciate that it's dog-friendly. While the camper has a pretty small toilet, the campsite provides restrooms and showers for your convenience. Also, Wifi is available! The host is friendly and responsive, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely stay again :)
We had the best experience with our little getaway at Boheme Retreats! Perfect glamping escape relatively close to NYC. Our van was equipped with everything we needed to feel cozy, and the owner was super helpful and communicative before, during, and after our stay. Highly recommend for a weekend escape!
This place is perfect! My 1st time camping. And of course wanted some amenities so I will not freak out. We'll, this place has everything. Just bring some food, paper towels, spices, firewood and get ready to enjoy. The Rosa was small put perfect. I'm 5'2 and the shower was no big deal. My husband is 5'10 and would not shower in camper. Campsite has bathroom and showers for everyone to use. Super clean and well lit. Definitely recommend a stay.
