What is worth choosing Willowemoc Campgrounds for? For most New Yorkers, the choice comes down to the quality of the "community" versus the standard commercial park. Willowemoc is worth choosing for its rare combination of a high-end natural setting—specifically the riverside sites—and the genuine warmth of its management. Unlike massive corporate-owned parks, there is a personal investment here in making sure every guest is settled and comfortable. It is an ideal choice for families who want their children to experience "real" nature—fishing in a creek and hiking through woods—while still having the safety of a pool and a playground nearby.

Furthermore, the park is worth choosing for its strategic location. You are far enough into the mountains to see a sky full of stars and hear nothing but crickets, yet you are ten minutes away from world-class dining and artisanal shopping in Livingston Manor. Choosing Willowemoc means choosing a lifestyle of relaxation where the biggest decision of your day is whether to hike a trail, cast a line into the water, or simply sit by the fire and enjoy a conversation. It is a place where traditions are built, and for many New York families, it has become a home away from home that they return to year after year.

I wanted to take a moment to share my experiences and thank the manager at Willowwemac camp grounds for a wonderful trip this summer. First I’d like to thank everyone involved from booking to making sure everything was going well at the site, The manager was amazing. You were extremely understanding and helpful even after I made mistakes in booking. The young people were preoccupied by fishing hiking and just enjoying the streams pool and the quiet. Evening were spent having great conversations and the parents felt it was an ideal place to simply have conversations. There is much more I can say, but I’d like to just thank you for a wonderful time. Hope to see you again!Dwayne

Such a great campground + community. Jeanne and her son are so sweet and everyone here is really kind and friendly. We had one of the tent sites for a long weekend and it was great – secluded, lots of space, super clean bathrooms and a lot available at the main office in case you forgot essentials. We usually tent at state parks and this was such a better experience! We're definitely coming back and seriously considering their seasonal membership.

The area we picked was flooded so they moved us to a great spot by the lake. The campgrounds were fantastic. The women at the front desk was incredible with everything she did for us. Highly recommended.

This is my husband‘s and I third year camping at Willowemoc, we love it! When we arrived three years ago, the community welcomed us right away. There’s fishing, swimming in the creek or the swimming pool, a game room for the kids, and basketball courts. There’s a little something for every mood. I personally enjoy the beautiful trails and the feeling I feel when surrounded by nature. We will continue camping here as long as we can.

Been camping or “glamping” here for a few years now in our seasonal RV. My family and I enjoy it very much. The campground is in a gorgeous Catskills location and the workers along with seasonal campers keep it feeling like a family of one. We don’t tent, but all tenters we’ve met seem to love it as well. I’d say my favorite aspect of the campsite is how everyone looks out for one another, like a big extended family. If you love the outdoors, you won’t be disappointed!
