Central PA Wesleyan Campground & Conference Center Introduce

Nestled in the serene Susquehanna Valley, the Central PA Wesleyan Campground & Conference Center serves as a premier destination for those seeking both outdoor adventure and spiritual rejuvenation. Known historically as God’s Holiness Grove, this site has a legacy dating back to 1920, providing a peaceful retreat for families, church groups, and individual campers. Whether you are looking for a weekend getaway under the stars or a week-long conference venue, this New Columbia landmark offers a unique blend of modern convenience and rustic charm that captures the heart of the Pennsylvania countryside.

For Pennsylvania residents, the campground represents more than just a place to park an RV or pitch a tent. It is a community-focused environment where the values of kindness and faith are as integral as the tall trees and fresh air. Visitors often remark on the pristine condition of the facilities and the welcoming atmosphere created by the staff and long-term seasonal residents. It is a place where children can play safely and adults can disconnect from the digital world to reconnect with nature and their community.

Located at 413 Buck Rd, New Columbia, PA 17856, the campground is exceptionally accessible for travelers coming from various parts of the state. It sits conveniently near the intersection of major transit routes, including Route 15 and Interstate 80, making it an easy drive from cities like Williamsport, Lewisburg, and even Harrisburg. Despite its proximity to these main roads, the campground maintains a quiet, secluded feel that allows the sounds of nature to prevail.

  • Easily accessible from US-15, providing a straight path for those traveling north or south through the center of the state.
  • Just a short drive from local attractions like Clyde Peeling’s Reptiland and the historic shops of Lewisburg.
  • Features a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a well-maintained parking lot to ensure all visitors can navigate the grounds with ease.
  • The layout includes both wooded and open sites, allowing campers to choose the level of shade or sun they prefer for their stay.
  • On-site parking is clearly marked, with specific areas designated for day guests and registered campers to maintain a safe flow of traffic.

The services offered at Central PA Wesleyan Campground are designed to accommodate a wide range of camping styles, from primitive tenting to full-service RV living. The management takes great pride in the infrastructure of the park, ensuring that utilities are reliable and that the grounds are kept in top condition throughout the season. They cater to day visitors, overnight guests, and seasonal campers who choose to make the grove their summer home.

  • Comprehensive RV camping options, including sites with electric, water, and sewer hookups to suit various rig requirements.
  • Dedicated tent sites for those who prefer a more traditional, "primitive" outdoor experience.
  • Full access to clean, modern public restrooms and private hot showers, which are frequently cited by guests for their exceptional cleanliness.
  • Convenient payment options, including acceptance of debit cards and NFC mobile payments for site fees and shop purchases.
  • The "What Not Shop" on-site provides essentials, firewood, and ice, while nightly ice cream service adds a sweet touch to the summer evenings.
  • Rental facilities for group events, including a gymnasium, fellowship halls (Appel and Pickett Halls), and a worship center for conferences or retreats.

Beyond the basics of camping, the center is packed with features and highlights that make it a standout choice for families. The emphasis here is on active recreation and community bonding. From organized sports to quiet nature walks, there is something to keep every member of the family engaged and entertained throughout their stay.

  • An outdoor swimming pool that serves as a central hub for cooling off during the warm Pennsylvania summers.
  • A variety of sports facilities, including a baseball field, basketball court, and volleyball court for friendly competition.
  • A well-equipped playground featuring slides and swings, specifically designed to be kid-friendly and safe.
  • Lakeside fishing opportunities (catch and release) and kayaking for those who want to spend time on the water.
  • Multiple hiking trails and cycling lanes that wind through the countryside and the campground itself.
  • Amenities for social gatherings, such as picnic tables, charcoal grills, and a dedicated pavilion for group meals.
  • A pet-friendly policy that welcomes dogs, allowing the whole family to enjoy the vacation together.

If you are planning a visit or need to inquire about seasonal site availability, the office at Central PA Wesleyan Campground is the best point of contact. The staff is known for their friendly demeanor and is happy to assist with reservations or answer questions about park rules and modesty standards.

The physical address for the facility is 413 Buck Rd, New Columbia, PA 17856, USA. To speak with a representative directly, you can call the main office at (570) 538-2790. This same number is used for mobile inquiries, ensuring that you can reach someone whether you are at home or on the road. For those visiting for the first time, it is recommended to register at the office upon arrival to receive a car pass and a map of the grove.

What makes Central PA Wesleyan Campground worth choosing over other regional options is the combination of its historic atmosphere and its commitment to a wholesome, family-oriented environment. In a world where many campgrounds have become busy commercial hubs, this site preserves a sense of peace and "spiritual renewal" that is rare to find. It is particularly worth choosing for those who value a quiet, respectful community; the park enforces strictly observed quiet hours from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM to ensure everyone gets a restful night's sleep.

Furthermore, the cleanliness of the facilities—especially the restrooms and showers—sets a standard that few other locations can match. For parents, the kid-friendly activities and the safety of the playground and pool areas provide peace of mind. Whether you are a local resident from just 15 minutes away or a traveler from across the state, the feeling of being in a "taste of Heaven" is a recurring theme among those who return year after year. Choosing this campground means choosing a vacation that focuses on family, faith, and the simple joys of the great outdoors.

I have stayed at so many campgrounds over the years and I’ve never seen such clean bathrooms… Thank you all so much. I wish I could’ve swam in the lovely pool, but I had some nice strolls in the countryside surrounding the campground and on the campground itself. Wonderful place thank you so much

First time at this campsite for their annual renewal... I'm blown away! We are just day visiting this year, but the kids are already begging to stay to camp. We will definitely be planning for this next year! Everyone is so kind and friendly, and the Word of God is felt here. Bringing hearts to Jesus and praising and glorifying Him! there's so much to do, and it's just a beautiful location. I can't believe we've been only 15 minutes away from a taste of Heaven! I pray for this to be our annual family vacation for forever 🏕️🙏✝️❤️

Very nice place and I look forward to going back the only thing I will say is it is close to the highway so if your not used to traffic while sleeping consider bringing noise canceling headphones. Besides that great Christian based campground and I enjoyed my first stay

We had a great time here! We camped for a week for a church family camp event and it was fun! There is a playground for the kids, a pool, a pond for fishing, a little shop where kids can buy toys and such. Ice cream was served every night as well.I was in a motorhome and they had 30- and 50-amp service available, along with water and sewer. It was a very pleasant stay! If you plan to hook up water to an RV, BE SURE YOU USE A PRESSURE REGULATOR. The pressure was very high at my site and would have caused damage to my RV water system if I didn't have a regulator on the spigot. The only downside is that it is right near the highway, so there is no end to the highway traffic noise, but don't let that stop you if you are looking for a nice place to stay.
