Nestled in the rolling hills of the beautiful Susquehanna River Valley, this award-winning campground combines the nostalgic charm of traditional camping with modern, high-end amenities. The campground is widely recognized for its vibrant, community-focused atmosphere, particularly during themed weekends that draw visitors from all over the state. With a legacy of serving the local community for over 15 years, it has become a staple for those attending major regional events like the Bloomsburg Fair or the Little League World Series. The facility is meticulously maintained, featuring wooded sites that provide a sense of privacy and shade, alongside open areas perfect for large groups and festive seasonal decorations. It is a place where traditions are built, and memories are made under the vast Pennsylvania sky.
Williamsport South / Nittany Mtn. KOA Holiday is conveniently located at 2751 Millers Bottom Rd, New Columbia, PA 17856, USA. Its location is strategically positioned just a short distance from major transit routes, including Route 15 and Interstate 80, making it an easy drive from Williamsport, Lewisburg, and Milton. However, visitors are often advised by local management to follow specific driving directions rather than relying solely on GPS, as some navigation units may struggle with the rural backroads leading into the valley. Once arrived, the park offers a secluded feel despite its proximity to essential local services.
Accessibility is a priority at this facility, ensuring that every member of the family can participate in the fun. The campground features a wheelchair-accessible parking lot and restrooms designed to meet modern accessibility standards. Many of the main community buildings, including the camp store and recreation areas, are situated on level ground with clear pathways. For those with specific mobility needs, the park offers "Handicapped Friendly" lodging options, including certain deluxe cabins equipped with ramped access and modified interior features, reinforcing the inclusive nature of this local retreat.
- Full-service RV sites with 30 and 50-amp electric, water, and sewer hookups, accommodating rigs up to 85 feet.
- Deluxe Cabin and Lodge rentals featuring full kitchens, private bathrooms, and linens for a "glamping" experience.
- Traditional tent camping sites and rustic camping cabins for those who prefer a more classic outdoor stay.
- On-site camp store providing essentials, propane refills, firewood, and specialty items like fresh pizza and hand-dipped ice cream.
- Comprehensive laundry facilities and clean, modern bathhouses located conveniently throughout the grounds.
- Organized recreational activities including hayrides, fire truck rides, movie nights, and seasonal themed events like Halloween festivities.
The features and highlights of the Williamsport South / Nittany Mtn. KOA Holiday are what truly set it apart from other regional parks. One of the biggest draws is the variety of "extra" amenities that keep children entertained from sunrise to sunset. From the unique jumping pillow and the petting zoo—home to friendly baby goats—to the newly updated swimming pool and wading area, there is never a shortage of activity. For pet owners, the dedicated KampK9 dog park and dog-friendly hiking trails make it a welcoming spot for four-legged family members as well.
- Extensive playground area featuring modern equipment, a zipline, and plenty of space for active play.
- A dedicated petting zoo and gold mining sluice, providing educational and interactive fun for younger guests.
- Large swimming pool complex and wading pool (typically open from Memorial Day through Labor Day).
- On-site sports facilities including a basketball court, volleyball court, shuffleboard, and horseshoe pits.
- Direct access to scenic hiking and nature trails that wind through the wooded hills of the Susquehanna Valley.
- Catch-and-release fishing pond, perfect for introducing children to the sport in a safe and controlled environment.
To plan your visit or secure a specific site for your next trip, you can reach the campground management directly. Due to the high demand for seasonal events and major local festivals, early reservations are highly recommended, especially for holiday weekends.

Such a nice KOA for family fun. So much for the kids to do for Halloween! Seasonal campers were so nice and had their lots decorated so festive and fun.Love the pizza + ice cream at the store.Dog barking was excessive and constant. We bring our mastiffs so trust me we are pet friendly! Staff was nice enough. Not overly helpful or present around the campground like all the others we’ve been to.Not enough dog waste stations like other KOAs. People drive really fast + don’t abide by 5mph.
We've been camping here for the past 15+ years coinciding with the Bloomsburg Fair in late September. Our kids always found plenty to do to keep them busy and now that they're all grown, we enjoy just hanging at the camp ground enjoying doing nothing! Our group usually rents cabins and I car/tent nearby. The cabins are clean and well maintained and provide almost everything you need.
Great staff nice little store. Large sites kept very clean clean bathrooms and lots of fun things to keep the kids entertained. We have stayed here the last few years during the little league world series and will definitely continue to do that.
I love that I could reserve one night here. Other places wouldn't let me do just one night - so frustrating! The tent site was perfect and everything I needed. The petting zoo was an added bonus. I wished I stayed longer to enjoy the goats. I do wish KOA in general had more tent sites with basic amenities since that is what I need.
Great campground! They had plenty to do for kids and families. Definitely enjoyed the Halloween vibe and festivities. The goat zoo was really cute! Well maintained sites, customer service was good, and they have a nice store.
