East Hampton Village Manufactured Home Community Introduce

The East Hampton Village Manufactured Home Community is a unique residential enclave situated in one of New York's most prestigious regions. Located on the eastern end of Long Island, this community serves as one of the last remaining avenues for more accessible housing within the affluent Hamptons landscape. As a professional manufactured home community, it provides a structured residential environment for individuals and families who wish to enjoy the cultural and natural beauty of the South Fork while maintaining a manageable lifestyle. The community is designed for all-age residents, fostering a diverse neighborhood atmosphere that ranges from young working professionals to long-term local residents.

For those living in the New York region, East Hampton is synonymous with coastal elegance and historical charm. This manufactured home community allows residents to tap into that local identity without the prohibitive costs typically associated with traditional real estate in the area. The park operates not just as a place to reside but as a managed community where tenants own their manufactured homes and lease the land. This model provides the privacy of a detached home with the convenience of shared infrastructure. While the community sits in a tranquil setting, it is deeply connected to the local heartbeat of East Hampton Village, providing a practical living solution for those who contribute to the local economy and community life.

Location and accessibility are the primary draws for this community. Located at 105 Oakview Hwy, East Hampton, NY 11937, the community is positioned just on the fringe of the village center. This location offers the perfect balance of suburban quiet and urban convenience. For commuters and travelers, the community is easily accessible from the Montauk Highway (Route 27), the main artery connecting the East End to the rest of Long Island and New York City. The community's entrance is designed to be accessible, featuring wheelchair-accessible entry points and a spacious on-site parking lot to accommodate residents and their guests comfortably.

Accessibility to local attractions is a significant highlight for residents. The community is situated roughly two miles from the historic Downtown East Hampton, where world-class shopping, dining, and art galleries are located. For families, the proximity to the top-rated East Hampton Union Free School District is a major benefit. Additionally, local transportation options, including the Hampton Jitney and the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR), are located just about a mile away, making it easy for residents to navigate the surrounding areas or commute toward Manhattan. Proximity to some of the nation’s most pristine beaches, such as Main Beach and Wiborg Beach, ensures that the coastal lifestyle is always within reach.

Slumlords at best. When I first moved here, residents dealt with constant power outages and unsafe voltage issues. We had to fight just to get them addressed—and it was actually PSEG, not management, that fixed the problem. Management then labeled it a “capital improvement” so they could justify a 6% annual rent increase. They spent roughly $80,000 on a playground, yet refuse to repair the egregiously bad roads, which have caused suspension damage to my vehicles. There is very little street lighting, making it dangerously dark at night. Basic infrastructure is ignored.Despite this, management is quick to harass residents over cosmetic issues like power washing homes—on their timeline—while they fail to maintain the property we pay for. Land rent is $1,200 per month, yet they’ve had garbage service shut off multiple times, reportedly due to nearly $60,000 in unpaid bills. There was once a decent property manager, but they were clearly overwhelmed and unsupported. I can’t imagine working for a company that neglects its residents while ignoring legitimate concerns. The only reason people stay is because this is one of the last remaining options resembling affordable housing in the area—and even that is rapidly becoming untrue.

Our community is situated in an affluent area, but the living conditions are far from ideal for our family. The management shows little concern for our safety and the community's well-being. We've experienced power outages every summer for the past three years, and even during winter. These conditions are unacceptable for our children and pets. The manager neglects to represent our interests and is unresponsive when we reach out. Our children lack a safe place to play. It's crucial that the conditions in our community improve, and we urge the town of East Hampton to assist us.

They cut our power every summer. When we call to make a complaint, they get mad and don’t offer any solutions. Same thing is currently happening and the lady that works there got mad and said that we should prepare for a 4th night of no power.
