We just finished a week there. It was very disappointing! First of all, the general store is still closed. They had a food truck in front, but the food was horrible! They put an egg sandwich on a hamburger roll. Who does that?! It was gross. Secondly, every night, there were drunks partying next to us yelling and laughing really loud until 1:30am. They have no respect for others. I had to get up at 5:30am for a meet-up, so thanks to these inconsiderate drunks, I only got 4 hours of sleep. I called the park police two nights in a row and they never showed up. They tell you to shut your generator off 1 minute after 11am but apparently you can yell and scream all night. I hate how they selectively enforce rules. I used to love camping here but Kathy Hochul has destroyed this once great park.

The absolute best campground. My boyfriend & I love MTK & always come to Hither Hills. The views are beautiful, especially the tent-only campsite. The staff do a great job at keeping the bathrooms & other facilities clean.

Family has been staying here for years! Personally I’d love to see some upgrades to the sites in terms of electric service. Be aware cell phone service was minimal for Verizon users. They do keep the bathrooms and facilities clean. The beach access is great! They have a put a blue mat path down to the beach which makes access so much easier! We’ll be back again!
