My wife and i have live in Shortsville and Manchester our whole marriage of 43 years in 5 different houses we purchased thru those years. My wife has had most of her family reside in Friendly Village over the years. We were ready to find our final retirement home and thought we did. A modular double wide in this park. Asking price of $99,500. Before you buy you need park approval. Should not have been a problem with credit rate of 830and enough cash reserve to buy this home 3 times and a monthly retirement income of $4500 per month. Well over the amount to pay the monthly cost there. We qualified easly other than the park insisted i sell my village home before i buy there. We were going to in the spring while we sell alot of things we would not be taking there and not enough room for our toys and other things we purchased for our village home. They turned us down because i would not sell my house first. If that deal fell thru and my house was sold ide be in the street. After all this they may have done us a favor. I feel they would be watching your every move. I believe in rules and laws im not a rebel. I feel they discriminated against us. Why i dont know. Many people own more than one home there like snowbirds or rental property. I also feel the woman in the office there didnt care for me from the start. I think she feared for her job. Anyways your lose Friendly Village we are upstanding people and would have been trouble free home owners.
Absolutely love this place! It is beyond being well maintained! We have met many wonderful neighbors here. The new pool is especially nice! The location is extremely convenient. Management is very attentive and helpful. We are so grateful to have found this gem!!!
Management has changed hands multiple times and is very confused, and the groundskeeper is odd and aggressive. Not surprised so many people are currently moving away. A shame, as it used to be very nice.
Love it here! Everyone is nice and the park takes good care of the grounds and office area! Can’t beat the location or the price! I hope it never changes hands like all the other parks are!
This really is the best mobile home park I have ever been to, by far. It is very well kept, and not a bit dumpy like some mobile home parks tend to be. The lot rent is actually cheaper than most of the parks in this area and it includes a ton of amentities. It includes water, sewer, snow removal of the roads, a pool, a rec hall, and it is located along the outlet through Manchester/Shortsville. It has a picnic area for its occupants with little grills set up to use. There is a gorgeous gazebo looking over the Outlet as well as some benches too. It is very well landscaped with rocks lining the border of the outlet and just looking very beautiful and like a very nice place to curl up with a book and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. The Community Hall has a little Library with several very good books which I think is one of the greatest things I've ever seen in a mobile home park. Finally, the in-ground pool is pretty large offering a shallow end that gradually gets deeper with lots of room for all to use. It also includes an adult time where no kids are allowed to be in the pool or even around it so adults can enjoy some time for themselves. The concrete deck around it has several lounge chairs, some tables with chairs and an umbrella, and also just some regular chairs to sit and watch your children. The rules of the pool are very simple nothing outrageous and there is always a lifeguard while the pool is open. If you are looking to purchase or rent a mobile home in a mobile home park I definitely 100% recommend Friendly Village.
