Jellystone Park™ Quarryville Introduce

For families across Pennsylvania, finding a vacation spot that balances relaxation for adults with non-stop excitement for children can be a challenge. Jellystone Park™ Quarryville serves as a premier solution, nestled on 63 wooded acres in the southern portion of Lancaster County. This award-winning camp-resort is not merely a place to park an RV or pitch a tent; it is a full-scale destination designed around the beloved characters of Yogi Bear™, Boo Boo™, and Cindy Bear™. Located adjacent to a scenic 100-acre county park, the resort offers a breathtaking natural backdrop combined with the high-energy amenities of a luxury resort. Whether you are a local from the Susquehanna Valley or traveling from the Philadelphia suburbs, this park provides a quintessential Pennsylvania camping experience centered on family bonding and outdoor fun.

The atmosphere at Jellystone Park™ Quarryville is vibrant and community-oriented, particularly during the peak summer months and the highly anticipated autumn season. The park is well-known among Keystone State residents for its elaborate themed weekends, which range from "Christmas in July" to the fan-favorite "Halloween Spooktacular." During these times, the campground transforms into a festive hub where site decorating contests, costume parades, and haunted trails become the norm. For many Pennsylvania families, an annual trip to Quarryville for the Halloween season has become a cherished tradition, offering a safe and engaging environment for children to celebrate while parents enjoy the crisp fall air of the surrounding Amish Country.

Location and accessibility are major draws for this resort. Situated at 340 Blackburn Road, Quarryville, PA 17566, it is strategically positioned within a short drive of major regional hubs. It is approximately an hour and a half from Philadelphia and just over an hour from the attractions of Hershey, PA. The park is designed with modern accessibility in mind, featuring wheelchair-accessible entrances, parking lots, and restrooms to ensure that all family members can participate in the fun. For those arriving with large rigs, the park offers paved and gravel sites with easy-to-navigate access. On-site parking is provided at each site, and free parking lots are available near the main activity centers, though visitors should note that additional vehicle space can be limited during peak holiday weekends.

  • Full-service RV camping with options for 20, 30, and 50-amp electric hookups, as well as water and sewer connections.
  • Luxury cabin rentals ranging from rustic one-room options to "Super Deluxe" cabins that sleep up to 24 people, perfect for multi-family retreats.
  • Comprehensive onsite services including a Ranger Station stocked with groceries, firewood, propane, and Yogi Bear™ souvenirs.
  • Modern comfort stations with clean public restrooms and laundry facilities that accept credit/debit cards and NFC mobile payments.
  • On-site dining options, including a food truck serving local favorites like chicken wings and snacks during high-traffic periods.

  • Free Wi-Fi access available at key locations such as the Ranger Station deck, Pavilion, and Water Zone.

The highlights and features of Jellystone Park™ Quarryville are what truly set it apart from standard campgrounds in the region. The "Water Zone" is a major attraction, featuring a large water playground with kiddie slides, water cannons, and a fort, alongside two heated swimming pools and hot tubs. For those who prefer dry land, the jumping pillows, laser tag, and adventure mini-golf provide hours of entertainment. The park also places a high priority on nature-based activities, offering kid-friendly hikes along the nearby Stewart Run Creek and a catch-and-release fishing pond stocked with bass and catfish. These features ensure that even when the pools are closed, there is never a dull moment for active youngsters.

  • Yogi Bear’s Water Zone: A massive water playground plus two heated pools with built-in water basketball and volleyball.
  • Themed Activities: Daily scheduled events including foam parties, candy bar bingo, "Hey Hey" wagon rides, and arts and crafts.
  • Special Character Moments: Daily opportunities to meet and take photos with Yogi Bear™, Boo Boo™, Cindy Bear™, and Ranger Smith™.
  • Outdoor Sports: A Gaga ball pit, basketball and volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, and a disc golf course.

  • Halloween Haunted Trail: A high-effort, seasonally available haunted experience that is a major draw for local thrill-seekers.
  • Pet-Friendly Features: A dedicated "Bark Park" with obstacles and toys, ensuring that dogs are welcome members of the family.
  • Amphitheater: Nightly outdoor movies and cartoons where families can gather with blankets and snacks under the stars.

For residents looking to book their next adventure or check the schedule for specific themed weekends, the management can be reached through the main office line. Due to the high demand for sites during the Pennsylvania fall foliage and Halloween seasons, it is highly recommended to book well in advance.

What is worth choosing about Jellystone Park™ Quarryville is the sheer variety of ways to stay and play. It is an ideal choice for the "glamper" who wants the amenities of a resort hotel—such as air-conditioned cabins with full kitchens and private hot tubs—but also for the traditional camper who enjoys the camaraderie of a bustling RV park. The staff, including well-regarded team members like Cyndie and Arlene, are known for their helpfulness in guiding first-time visitors through the park's extensive itinerary. Choosing this park means opting for a vacation where the "itinerary" is already built-in; from the moment you wake up to the character interactions until the late-night movies at the amphitheater, the entertainment is seamless.

Furthermore, the park's location in Lancaster County allows for easy day trips to explore Amish farm stands, local farmers' markets, and historic sites. While the park is a hub of activity, the surrounding landscape offers a peaceful retreat into the rolling hills of Southern Pennsylvania. For parents, the value lies in the "safe-haven" feel of the resort, where kids can explore the playgrounds and trails while remaining within the secure environment of the park. If you are looking for a place that specifically understands the needs of Pennsylvania families—providing everything from reliable RV hookups to the best "camping popcorn" in the county—Jellystone Park™ Quarryville remains a top-tier choice for your next outdoor holiday.

Start with the good….Clean campground, clean facilities, pleasant staff. Halloween weekends are great, all activities and haunted trail are fun. Been coming for about 12 years now. Some bad part, this was the first trip where we saw campers blasting music with foul language and singing along to all the dirty parts. I’m not talking about a swear word or two but songs about sexual acts towards women. I have 2 daughters who are old enough to understand what they heard. I told a worker on a golf cart as he was in the area and heard the music also. He didn’t do anything and the music continued, there were several songs that played that were the same sexual type, these campsites happened to be next to the playground where all the kids were. My golf cart was taken by another camper and I was told it happens and maybe it would show up. For what we pay to stay I would expect more security to keep that kind of stuff under control. If you don’t pay the extra fee to hold your site you will get placed wherever they choose, first time it’s happened to us… Hate to post this type of review and really hope it’s not how things will continue but We will be looking elsewhere next year for another campground with a Halloween theme.

We had an absolutely fantastic time during our cabin stay! We can't say enough good things about the staff, specifically Cyndie and Arlene. From the start, they were more than accommodating, making sure we felt completely welcome. They were also very informative, walking us through all the amenities available, so we knew exactly what to expect. The absolute highlight was the Halloween haunted trail! We were so impressed and it was incredibly well put together, greatly entertaining, and just so much fun! You can tell a ton of effort went into making it a special experience. To top it all off, we had some fabulous wings from the food truck on site. (There are other food options available). We highly recommend this campground, especially if you get a chance to see their Halloween setup during the Halloween Season!

Halloween at Quarryville is always a great time. Lots of great people and a positive atmosphere. Despite the rain during trick or treat everyone had a great time. We always stay a week to allow 5 days of site decorating. Always a great time and lots of wonderful compliments. To be fair we won 1st place for the 2nd time in two years. Very family friendly campground.

This was our 3rd time here, my son and I along with my bestie and her kids have gotten Private Cabins in April, July and October and have loved every minute of each stay! The cabins are quaint and modern and clean! Activities are fun and fairly priced. Georgette helped us all weekend this past trip and was patient and a sweetheart! We will be back time and time again!

Just had our 5 year camping trip this past weekend. My kids love going to jellystone every fall. Sites are very well kept, clean and includes picnic table and firering. Lots to do during the day and Halloween activities make it even more special. We had great service from Sameign at front desk. Thanks for helping my kids with their birthday gifts and figuring out the arcade gaming prizes.
