Great location — just a 5-minute drive from downtown Jim Thorpe. The staff were excellent and very friendly, even offering options for getting downtown, including a free shuttle from nearby Lake State Park. Restroom and shower areas were clean and well-maintained.The cabins are older but have a charming rustic vibe. We weren’t expecting luxury, so the stay was satisfactory — typical cabin experience. The beds weren’t the most comfortable, but that was expected. Overall, a solid choice for a convenient, economical, no-frills cabin stay near Jim Thorpe.
I been camping here for 2 years now and have no issues with anything. The camp sites my friend got every time we went they are good sites. The prices are great for weekend camping and if you want to use there cabins as well. Definitely will always be going back.
Have been going here since I was a little girl, great atmosphere and lots of wildlife. Stayed in cabins as well as tent sites. Has a pool and rv hookups and a great lake for fishing or swimming close by.
Park staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed at a campsite which was not very level. I used all my leveling chocks and could not level my rv. Alot of cabins and seasonal units. All campers very very respectful.
⭐ 1 out of 5 starsDisappointing and Misleading—Definitely Not a “Resort”Not sure why this place is called a “resort” — it’s not even a great campground. There are numerous permanent residents with old campers, many of which were in poor condition. Oddly enough, some had really nice wooden decks — nicer than the campers they were attached to. The one next to us was covered in green and brown mold, which made the whole area feel more like a rundown trailer park. Just beyond a thin line of trees, there’s an actual trailer park — and those homes looked to be in better shape than the campground itself. The facilities left a lot to be desired:Picnic tables were old and wornFire rings were rusted out and falling apartRoads and campsites were poorly marked — more like uneven dirt and grass paths than actual roadsThe only bright spot was the staff, who were super friendly and kind. All of this, and it was still one of the more expensive campgrounds in the area. Definitely wouldn’t return or recommend.
