When deciding on a campground in Pennsylvania, RoundStone Camping Resort is worth choosing because it prioritizes the authentic camping experience. In a world where many resorts are becoming increasingly crowded and loud, RoundStone remains a bastion of peace. The "no-frills" philosophy means you get exactly what you need—clean facilities, beautiful surroundings, and a quiet atmosphere—without the unnecessary distractions of luxury resorts. For families, the kid-friendly atmosphere and the proximity to sights like Buttermilk Falls make it an educational and fun experience for children, fostering a love for the outdoors from a young age.
Another significant advantage is the quality of the log cabins. Options like the Buckhorn cabin offer a level of comfort that is perfect for those who want to be in nature but prefer a solid roof over their heads and the luxury of air conditioning during a humid Pennsylvania summer. The fact that the resort is dog-friendly also removes the stress of finding a pet-sitter, allowing your four-legged friends to enjoy the hiking trails right alongside you. The presence of attentive owners who are responsive to guest needs further enhances the value of your stay, ensuring that any questions are answered promptly.
Ultimately, RoundStone is the ideal choice for anyone who believes that the best part of camping is the simplicity. It is a place where you can sit by a stream with a cup of coffee, watch the wildlife, and enjoy the company of your loved ones without the constant ping of a smartphone. Whether you are seeking a solo retreat to clear your mind or a wholesome family weekend, this Weatherly gem offers a refreshing return to the basics of outdoor living. It is a true Pennsylvania treasure that rewards those who seek out its quiet trails and cozy cabins.

If you’re seeking serenity, this campground delivers: peaceful, no crowds, just a sounds of nature with instant coffee in hand. We’ve stayed in both tents and cabins, and I always feel refreshed and recharged to return. Our poor cell service there is actually a big plus! The only drawbacks are debris in the creek that can use a cleanup and the cabin’s locks needing upgrades for security. Aside from that, cabins are clean, and the owners are always attentive.
We stayed in the Buckhorn cabin with our baby and dog and had a wonderful weekend! The cabin was clean, spacious, and equipped with AC. The outdoor shower was a nice touch and plenty of portapottys (which were very clean) in short walking distance. There’s firewood for sale on site. The whole property felt very private which allowed for a relaxing weekend in the woods. We enjoyed walking along the stream and visited nearby Buttermilk falls. The owner was very helpful and responsive! This is a no frills campground, which we love. We brought a storage bin and plenty of water to use to clean our dishes and brush teeth, etc as there is no sink.
Stayed at the Touchdown site. Great views for stargazing. Very well maintained site, porta-potty was close by and clean with a light inside. Will definitely be back.
My family and friends stayed at RoundStone twice( 2023 + 2024). We loved the campsites so much the first time we had to book it again but this time with the additional for the cabins.Campsites:There’s a good amount of space between the campsites! Site 1 is large and spacious. Site 2 has a great deal of canopy cover. Site 3 has a nice nook and close access to the stream, which is relaxing to hear at night.Cabins (waterfall and buckhorn)Rustic and clean. There are also outdoor showers which are great for a quick rinse off (it’s camping so don’t expect the quality of a 5 star hotel but it was PERFECT for a quick 5 min rinse off).We did see a bear or two but they weren’t an issue. You don’t bother it won’t bother you but it was great to see them! Lots of other wildlife- chipmunks, salamanders, frog, deer, bugs! The host were very responsive and accommodating for our group. Some of the people in our group were first time campers but LOVED the campground. There are also port o potties between the sites!
We stayed in the Meadow View site. It's an enclosed shed but really feels like a cabin. The shed and the site are both clean and well maintained and the grass was freshly mowed. Great place to stay and we're looking forward to coming back.
