What makes Korn's Shawangunk Kill Campground truly worth choosing is the personalized care and the stunning riverfront location. Unlike many larger "corporate" campgrounds, Korn's maintains a level of intimacy that allows for a genuinely quiet and private experience. The ability of the management to adapt to guest needs—such as offering site changes for better privacy or promptly addressing noise concerns—demonstrates a commitment to the guest experience that is hard to find elsewhere. For local New York residents, the value lies in having a "back-to-basics" escape that doesn't sacrifice safety or essential amenities like hot showers and a clean pool.

Furthermore, the diversity of activities makes it a versatile choice for any group. You can spend your morning fishing for brook trout in the Shawangunk Kill, your afternoon hiking through 39 acres of wooded trails, and your evening enjoying a community potluck or a quiet fire at your own site. The inclusion of kid-friendly hikes and a playground makes it a top-tier choice for parents looking to get their children away from screens and into the fresh air. Whether you are staying for a single night or an entire season, the combination of natural beauty, affordability, and friendly service makes Korn's the premier choice for camping in the Middletown area.

Beautiful campsite with woods, a river, pool, and playground — the perfect family-friendly getaway! We came with family and friends for the weekend and had a wonderful time. The grounds are well-kept, and there’s truly something for all ages to enjoy. The only hiccup was a noisy group near us that played music until after 3am the first night. When we mentioned it to the owner the next day, she was incredibly responsive — she apologized right away, spoke to the group, and made sure the rest of our stay was peaceful. The following night was much quieter, and we really appreciated how attentive she was in ensuring we had a great experience.Overall, this is a fantastic place to camp, and we’ll definitely be back. Thank you for an awesome weekend!

We just had our 2nd camping trip at Korns and we have nothing but positive feedback. We were booked for tent site that ended up having another camper right next to it. When checking in the owner offered us a different spot to have some more privacy. We are so grateful to her offering because it was our best trip yet. Our family had the privacy we needed and loads of fun in our space. We definitely will be back. Thanks again!

Me and my family just left Lake George Battleground State Campground at August 23 2025 because of how cramped it is and it is right next to a relatively busy highway. Not to mention how some of the other campers were pretty rude as we just arrived at the location in the evening and had to set up as much we can before the night. Since we went to see the Air Dot Show NY that same day, we decided to find a campsite near it, so we didn't have to travel too far, and we found Korn's Shawangunk Kill Campground among the recommended nearby campgrounds we can book same day, so we went to check it out, and it did not disappoint, upon checking in, we were immediately greeted by friendly staff, whom helped recommend us options for a better lot than what we originally booked for, it was a pretty area and very spacious so we could set up all our equipment, very spread apart from other campers so we wouldn't be disturbing one another, and there was even electricity at our location, and an area to do laundry. The only complaint I would have about the campground is the cleanliness of the comfort stations, it wasn't bad but not the best either. But I would totally recommend this place, and my family and I are planning to visit it again soon!

The reservation process was easy, and I was relieved to find a campground within a specific area for two events we were attending. While the campground itself was beautiful, we had mixed success with the bath houses. The main women's shower was fine, but the men's was extremely dirty. The remote bath house (next to our campsite, specifically booked because our camper van has no facilities) didn't have electricity the first night, but did on the second night (though it was full of bugs and spiders). The host cooked a full meal for anyone who wanted to come by and exchanged quarters for the laundry (which we really appreciated). There were many others who seemed to be long-term residents who all knew each other, so we mostly kept to our van after the laundry and dinner were done.

Lovely place and great owners, we went to a football game in new york city and forgot to book a spot for our RV so naturally at the weekends everything around new york state is booked out. We had to arrive 1 A.M. but calling before it was no problem to pay later the next day, full hookup and quiet place for 70 dollars, you cant ask for more!
