Lake Champagne RV Introduce

Lake Champagne RV Park, located in the scenic heights of Randolph Center, Vermont, stands as a premier destination for travelers seeking a genuine Green Mountain experience. Positioned at the geographic center of the state, this family-owned and operated park has earned a reputation for its meticulous grounds, tranquil atmosphere, and breathtaking views. Spread across a vast landscape of rolling hayfields and lush greenery, the park offers a unique blend of open space and intimate natural beauty. Whether you are a seasonal resident looking for a summer home or a cross-country traveler stopping to admire the fall foliage, Lake Champagne provides an idyllic setting that emphasizes the peaceful, quiet character of rural Vermont.

The park is designed to cater specifically to the needs of the modern RV enthusiast while maintaining the charm of a traditional New England retreat. Unlike more crowded commercial parks, Lake Champagne is known for its exceptionally large, grassy sites that provide ample room for slide-outs and outdoor living setups. The property features a three-acre private pond—the "lake" of its namesake—which serves as a central hub for relaxation. The sense of community here is palpable, with many campers returning year after year to enjoy the cool mountain breezes and the songbirds that frequent the surrounding orchards and woods. For Vermont locals and visitors alike, it is a place to "unplug" from the noise of the city and "recharge" in one of the most well-maintained outdoor hospitality settings in the region.

Location and accessibility are among the park's greatest assets. Situated just minutes off Interstate 89 at Exit 4, Lake Champagne RV Park is remarkably easy to reach, even for those driving large rigs or towing heavy trailers. The drive up to Randolph Center reveals a classic Vermont village landscape, complete with historic architecture and sweeping agricultural vistas. Once on-site, the park features wide, well-maintained gravel roadways and a wheelchair-accessible entrance. Accessibility is a priority throughout the grounds, with ADA-compliant restrooms, parking lots, and facilities ensuring that all guests can enjoy the amenities comfortably. Its central location also makes it an ideal "base camp" for exploring the rest of Vermont, with attractions like the Ben & Jerry’s factory, Montpelier, and the White Mountains of New Hampshire all within a reasonable driving distance.

  • Full RV Hookups: Most sites are equipped with 30 and 50-amp electrical service, water hookups, and sewer connections for maximum convenience.
  • Spacious Grassy Sites: Large, level parking areas on well-manicured grass, providing a "backyard" feel for every camper.
  • Private 3-Acre Lake: A clean, spring-fed pond perfect for swimming, lounging by the shore, or enjoying the view.
  • Wash House Facilities: Exceptionally clean, modern public restrooms and hot showers that are frequently updated.
  • Connectivity: Complimentary Wi-Fi access and cable TV hookups available at select sites to keep you connected.
  • Waste Management: On-site dump station and trash disposal services for guest use.
  • Laundry Services: Convenient on-site laundry facilities for long-term and seasonal guests.
  • Propane Refills: Propane service available directly at the park, saving you a trip into town.
  • Camp Store: A central office and store stocking essential supplies, ice, firewood, and local information.

The features and highlights of Lake Champagne RV Park go beyond the standard utility hookups. The park’s layout takes full advantage of the Vermont terrain, offering sites at the top of the hill with panoramic views and sites nestled near the woods for extra shade. For those traveling with four-legged companions, the park is a literal "heaven," featuring expansive areas specifically designated for dog walking, including a massive hayfield where pets can enjoy the fresh air. The emphasis on "peace and quiet" is a strictly upheld feature, ensuring that every guest can enjoy the starlit skies and the sounds of nature without the intrusion of loud noise or traffic.

  • Dedicated Dog Park: A spacious, well-kept area for dogs to exercise and socialize safely.
  • Hiking Trails: On-site trails that wind through the woods and fields, perfect for a morning stroll or bird watching.
  • Children’s Playground: A safe and fun play area for kids to burn off energy within sight of the camping areas.
  • Stargazing: Located away from major light pollution, the park offers incredible views of the Milky Way and night sky.
  • Seasonal Community: A vibrant and friendly community of long-term campers that creates a welcoming "neighborhood" feel.
  • Hayfield Walks: Large, open agricultural fields on the property that are ideal for evening walks and enjoying sunsets.
  • Fall Foliage Access: Ideally situated for "leaf peepers" to witness the brilliant colors of the Green Mountains in early October.
  • Group Pavilions: Covered areas available for gatherings, making it a great spot for RV club rallies or family reunions.

For those making plans, Lake Champagne RV Park is open seasonally, typically from mid-May through mid-October. It is highly recommended to book well in advance for holiday weekends and the peak foliage season, as the park’s reputation for excellence makes it a popular choice. The management is noted for being incredibly helpful, often assisting guests with parking or providing expert local advice on the best driving routes through the mountains. Payments are made simple with acceptance of all major credit and debit cards at the main office.

What is worth choosing about Lake Champagne RV Park is the uncompromising commitment to quality and serenity. Many RV parks can feel like parking lots, but Lake Champagne feels like a resort in the truest sense of the word. Choosing this park means you are choosing "football-field-sized" spaces between rows, immaculately clean facilities, and a management team that treats the grounds with the care of a private estate. It is the perfect choice for the RVer who values their privacy and quiet but still wants to be part of a respectful, friendly community. From the first bird song of the morning to the dying embers of a campfire under a brilliant night sky, a stay at Lake Champagne is an invitation to experience Vermont at its very best.

Whether you are looking for a weekend getaway or a permanent seasonal spot, Lake Champagne RV Park offers the stability and beauty that only a multi-generational, family-run business can provide. My first seasonal camper experience here. It's a true escape—peaceful mornings with bird song, quiet evenings around the fire pit, with a big night sky. The campground is maintained well, with friendly campers. Is great dog park! It's the perfect place to relax and recharge, and the sense of community among the long-term campers is wonderful.

If you are looking for a quiet piece of heaven, look no further. Lake Champagne rv resort is the nicest I have stayed at. We came from Kentucky for fall foliage. The leaves weren’t cooperating but our campsite was awesome. It is the perfect location to go 2 hours in any direction and see anything from the Salem witch experience to climbing to the top of mt Mansfield. Loved the all grass sites and the wonderful places to walk the dog. The hayfield was our favorite. Awesome awesome awesome.

Lake Champagne RV PARK was a great place to stay. The people were very nice, it was very conveniently located near the interstate but you don't know it in the park because it is very quiet. Facilities are very clean. Very convenient to Montpelier and Stowe.

One of the prettiest and best kept campgrounds we have very experienced. We've been there 6 years in a row and stayed a for a week and up to 2 months straight. It's very close to the highway but you can't tell and you have easy access to all of Vermont. It's super quiet and has a swimmable pond. They have full-hook sites, w/e and tent sites and you can be out in the open on an all grass site, or back in the trees. There are 2 clean bathhouses and a good laundry room.
