Lake Lauderdale Campground Introduce
Lake Lauderdale Campground is a family-owned and operated destination that has been welcoming outdoor enthusiasts to the scenic landscapes of Washington County, New York, since 1989. Nestled on over 50 acres of picturesque parkland, this campground offers a quintessential Upstate New York experience where nature is the primary attraction. Whether you are an avid RVer, a traditional tent camper, or someone looking for the comforts of a rustic cabin, the park provides a tranquil environment to disconnect from the daily grind and reconnect with the great outdoors. The atmosphere is friendly and community-oriented, catering specifically to families, retirees, and their canine companions.
The campground is set against a backdrop of rolling hills and the stunning mountains of the Battenkill Valley. With its wide-open spaces and wooded sections, Lake Lauderdale Campground balances the desire for social interaction with the need for privacy. It is a place where summer days are spent exploring nature trails and evenings are anchored by the glow of a campfire. For residents of the New York region looking for a local getaway that feels worlds away from the city, this campground serves as a perfect home base for exploring the historical and natural wonders of the upper Hudson Valley.

Conveniently situated at 744 County Road 61 in Cambridge, NY, the park is easily accessible via State Route 22. The campground ensures that all guests feel welcome with a wheelchair-accessible entrance, accessible parking lots, and restroom facilities designed to accommodate everyone.

What makes Lake Lauderdale Campground worth choosing is the genuine hospitality and the "feel-like-family" atmosphere cultivated by the owners and staff. Many reviewers highlight the helpfulness of the management, noting that they go above and beyond to provide local recommendations or assist with any mechanical issues that might arise during a trip. In an age of corporate-run parks, the personal touch found here is a refreshing change. Whether it is suggesting the best local food spots in the Village of Cambridge or helping you launch a boat on the lake, the service is consistently attentive and kind.
Furthermore, the variety of accommodation options ensures that there is something for every comfort level. The premium tent sites are thoughtfully spaced to prevent overcrowding, a common complaint at other high-traffic campgrounds. For those who want the camping experience without the "roughing it" aspect, the cabins provide a warm and dry retreat even when the New York temperatures dip. Choosing Lake Lauderdale Campground means choosing a site that respects the natural environment while providing the modern amenities necessary for a comfortable and memorable vacation. It is a place where memories are made by the fire and traditions are started year after year.

We stayed in the larger cabin that sleeps 6 and had a wonderful stay. The cabin was so cozy, and even with chilly mid 30 degree temps at night we were still very warm from the portable heater. Everyone we spoke with was super helpful suggesting local food spots or good hiking trails. The owner of the campground was very nice and accommodating, helping provide recommendations on how we could access the lake to use our paddle boat. We had a wonderful fall day paddling around and enjoying the scenery around us. We would definitely book again in the future, and recommend the campground to others.
Me and my group stayed at the premium tent sites. The area was well wooded in between the sites, which was nice to have some separation from the other groups. We booked for site 143, and when we got there and registered one of the directors told us we should stay at 148 since it was a bigger site. They had a porta potty set up in the tent area, which was surprisingly fairly clean, as well as a sink. The bathrooms and showers in the main entrance area were also clean if you’re planning on staying for a few nights. One thing: the ground at the tent sites are a bit rocky, so I’d suggest bringing sleeping pads of some kind.
Marianne and her group at Lake Lauderdale campground are amazing!! We limped into the campground with transmission issues. Assuming we would be there longer than our scheduled 2 nights she put us in a site that would allow us to stay as long as we needed. Then the guys got us information about a local transmission shop. They also invited us to a get together that evening and a camp breakfast the next morning. At a time when I was a complete crying mess the folks here treated us like family.
This RV Park was bought in 2021 and the new owner Mark renovated just about everything! I give few reviews but this park deserves it. We arrive and get escorted to our site, a site with lots of grass and and clean hook-ups! Upon arriving we are greeted by several other campers one offering pork ribs ( they were good!) From ownership and management I give five stars. Beautiful RV Park!
Stayed at the campground site 38. View is wonderful. Campground was full of friendly people and lots of activities if you are so inclined. Mark the owner was terrific and assisted us with a minor issue pertaining to our site. This is def a great place to stay. We will come again!!!!
